Purpose Of This Role

DBS Business Analyst is to develop and support superior capabilities in the area of Back-Office assets and applications to align with global Standards This will include Finance, Supply, Corporate Functions, etc This role will be expected to be at the core of building a regional capability to support our markets to have an end-to-end technology, process and data approach

The role holder will be responsible for leading a small team tasked with delivering our future state Back-office landscape for the markets in APAC and providing the leadership and expertise to turn roadmaps into reality, be this providing resources, knowledge, governance or the drive and clarity to land the solutions required

The candidate will be expected to have the leadership standards to build and develop a team capable of delivering against the Back-Office agenda in APAC and will also require functional capabilities around mainly Finance processes and technologies and will be expected to provide appropriate governance in this role

The role is accountable with In-Market, Back-Office in APAC, including working with other parts of DBS globally to optimize the Back-Office roadmaps -

Market / Role Complexity

Asia Pacific is heterogeneous landscape that that is segmented into 5 regional hubs Australia (Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands)
SE Asia (Singapore, Philippines, and Vietnam)
Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan)
Indonesia and Thailand
North Asia (South Korea and Japan)

The majority of the markets across the region have implemented a common platform (SAP based) and processes known within Diageo as the Simple Business Model (SBM) Outsourcing Back Office processes to Shared Service Centres is also an element of the SBM
Working with the in-market DBS and global teams in terms of building their knowledge of the Finance and some supply processes and systems and the key deliverables required to successfully deploy assets and processes
Shaping the automation roadmap for the Back-Office assets in APAC in conjunction with the Back-Office solutions delivery manager
Understanding the implications of change on market processes and influencing decision makers to choose the right option

Leadership Responsibilities

Span of responsibility

Delivery of the finance capabilities for APAC, including establishment and operationalisation of a Centre of Excellence to support the key Back-Office assets across APAC
The role will be accountable for strategy, implantation and on-going delivery of the Back-office agenda in APAC
The current organization consists of 1 direct report The role will be accountable for optimizing the organization structure, responsibilities and operational tasks

Top Accountabilities

1 Building a DBS 3-5 year roadmap for Back-Office Assets in APAC and ensuring that this aligned with the markets

- The specific area of expertise required for this role will require experience within the industry, mixed experience across developed and developing market businesses
2 Clearly defining the business issues and opportunities that will result in the development of DBS solutions

- Leading the team to gain an understanding of business needs, complexities, context and strategic trends across the Back-Office functional area, mainly finance, across the APAC markets and identifying new opportunities for DBS that add value Lead opportunity assessment process independently as required or in collaboration with the in-market DBS Managers
3 Stay abreast of the technology advances - ensuring our roadmaps are taking advantage of new platform capabilities/features
4 Grow and develop their team members - ensuring that there is a strong pipeline of talent and succession plans

What You Need To Bring To This Role

5 years and above experience in a business facing functional analyst role
Experience and credibility in SAP FI/CO/BW, Workday and other Finance related applicaitons from a technology and process perspective in a Consumer Packaged Goods Industry
Attention to detail is key, inquisitive & questioning nature
Great at working as part of a cohesive, integrated team
Strong problem solving planning/ organising, highly detail conscious
Quick learner who exhibits resiliency and tenacity in the face of challenge
Have a huge passion for growing and developing
Demonstrated leadership and the development of others
Experience in working in an outsourced environment would be advantageous
