Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals Grange Castle manufacturing plant is situated on a 90-acre site in South Dublin The focus on the site is Biopharmaceuticals and Vaccines This is an opportunity to join a world class facility who is dedicated to bringing therapies that will significantly improve patients lives We are licensed for the manufacture of commercial and clinical trial materials, but we also have a very significant research and development function

The X Intern will play a key role in supporting the X team

Role Description

Job Purpose

Provide Operations Support within the Vaccines Conjugation Operating Unit (OpU) to ensure the manufacture and disposition of product is carried out in an efficient, effective, safe and compliant manner The Operations Support Student will work in partnership with and Operations Support Specialist who is responsible for ensuring support processes and systems are maintained and compliant The Operations Support Specialist/Team ensures that the day to day requirements of shift personnel are met and engage with all other support groups or project teams, vendors to minimize disruption to shift operations Operations Support Specialists are systems and operational process System Matter Experts (SMEs) eg SAP, MES/PMX, QTS, PDOCS & Operational Excellence The Operations Support Specialist/Team balances the requirements of day to day support, implementation of system/operational process improvements (CI) and Corrective Actions Preventative Actions (CAPAs)

Job Responsibilities

Core function responsibilities

Manufacturing documentation Control of documents such as local books, logbooks and Production Batch Records (PBRs)
Compilation of metrics and reporting of same
Support regulatory audit readiness for the Operational Unit
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Engage with functional areas eg Right First Time Specialists (RFTs), Supervisors, Technical Operations and Technical Services
Ownership for on-time delivery of Manufacturing Action Items relating to systems, materials, documentation
Attend/support for core meetings where required Technical & Regulatory, materials review board meeting Process monitoring (INFORMA), Change Control, Investigations Meeting, Safety and Compliance, Hoshin (project management), Good Practice Saves
Assist investigations & management of vendor / material issues in partnership with procurement group
Complete/assist with manufacturing incident reports (ER/QARs) in relation to own specific area ie materials, Environmental Monitoring
Assist in the generation of change controls and commitments as required for Ops Support
Assist in the running of the Vaccines Safety Blueprint in partnership with core EHS team

Education/ Qualifications

A student from the following faculties

Science, Biotechnology or equivalent
A good understanding of process manufacturing especially Biotechnology processes
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
Good interpersonal and communication skills
An ability to work as a member of a team and as an individual contributor in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and initiative
Be self-driven, proactive and possess strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
Keen desire to learn
