Job Overview

TE Connectivitys Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)

Applicants must be a US citizen or national, US lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the US, or person admitted into the US as a refugee

What your background should look like


Inspects connectors, components, and tooling parts at the during or at the end of one or more processes/operations to ensure their conformance to specifications
Inspects parts for general condition, identification, and craftsmanship
Determines acceptability or non-acceptability of parts inspected without deviating from specifications or prints
Accepts or rejects parts and prepared related documentation as required
Reports occurrences of defective parts to supervisor and ensures proper disposition
Uses engineering prints, specifications, or verbal information to determine completeness, usability, dimensions and overall conformance of parts
Coordinate with planning and production to meet demands when various changes occur in production schedule
Scheduling of gages requiring calibration
Monitoring production gages for out-of-calibration status
Tracking timely gage issuance to production request date
Coordinates requests from manufacturing for inspection planner updates
Updates gage track records


High School diploma or GED Required
Minimum 1 years experience as an inspector in Manufacturing Environment required
Blueprint reading experience required
Computer Skills required - Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
SAP knowledge preferred
Due to ITAR restrictions, US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency status is required

Physical Requirements

Required to lift 20lbs on occasion
Visual acuity to inspect small defects, operate machines, use measuring devices, and complete assembly/fabrication of small parts
Manual dexterity to move hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
