Designation Vice President - Product Marketing

Location Bangalore

Role and responsibilities

- The person will be responsible for making products - fly-off the shelf Person will head a team of product managers assigned to individual product opportunities

- This role is the glue that binds platform strategy to the tactics needed to drive success by attracting customers to the platform, to use it and recommend to others This person is the product evangelist and plays an integral role in the brand build of the product

- The person needs to know their competitors like the back of their hand - what they do today and what they plan to do in the future

- Person will need to know the customers better than they know themselves, including how they make their buying decisions

- Person needs to match strategic insights with market evidence to drive the identification, development, positioning and messaging of new use cases

- The person has to ensure that their strategies resonate with the buyers and empowers the sales channels to be successful

- The person has to be obsessed with tracking performance through data and proving what is working and what isn- t

Key Responsibilities

- Head a team of product managers assigned to individual product opportunities

- Oversee overall project management of new product development /rollout /in-market performance across entire spectrum by facilitating internal support for PMs from other relevant teams like Technology, Business Ops, Finance, Legal etc

- Market intelligence- be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria

- Understand the competitive landscape- be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned

- Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas

- Understand and document our buyers process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn

- Develop a marketing plan for the products you support in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers

- Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes

- Identify new use cases to be added to the product for increasing its differentiation

- Present business case for new use cases to management to get approvals for spends on developing it

- Plan the launches of new use cases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

- Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it


- MBA preferred from reputed college with previous product/project management experience in a Financial Product/Service environment like banks/NBFCs

- 12+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years in a market-facing product management capacity Should have prior experience of leading cross -functional teams through at least one new product development/ launch cycle

- Exceptional capabilities to source and analyse data to identify what is working and what not Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Salesforce

- Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is - or isn- t- working

- Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer

- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties Team player!


- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and impeccable integrity Having a high orientation towards business and clear understanding of the difference between creating a product and delivering business value A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance

- Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior executives of large companies A natural risk spotter who can quickly understand friction lying in business and work towards eliminating it Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability Able to get on with others and be a team-player
