Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is opening for a Automotive Manufacturer Project multiple positions available for experienced Specialists in various fields of IT This role specializes in performing and enabling remote technical support under Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the applications used by the financial division of a well-known German car manufacturer


Administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
Perform Level 2 support based on generic and basic troubleshooting instructions for in-scope applications
Redirect application incidents that requiring further Level 2 and Level 3 support to the client or other applicable 3rd party providers;
Monitor integrations between applications and redirect failed transfer to the client or other applicable 3rd party providers for resolution;
Maintain and update Level 2 support instructions for the applications;
Maintain and update descriptions for security and backup/restore procedures for the applications;
Follow internal procedures and processes
Plan, coordinate, and assist the technical implementation of new applications in the Production Test and Production Environments;
Perform Early Life support for new applications as agreed;
Perform operational introduction based on agreed pre-requisites and requirements for the new Applications

Required skills
University degree in a technical field - IT/ Computer Science, Engineering, Technology
Proven working experience with at least one of the following systems Windows, Unix or Linux and at least one of the programming languages such as Java, C or scripting languages VBS, Javascript, Windows Batch Scripting
ITIL awareness
Troubleshooting in UNIX/Linux and very good DB Knowledge ( Oracle SQL )
Experience working with Ticket Systems ( such as Remedy, Optics, Jira or others )
Good Troubleshooting skills and experience in customer support
Ability to assess an error (alarm, notification) fast
Ability to deal within the established time frame to an emergency call
Availability for on-call support (one week, every couple of weeks, by rotation
Ensligh and German - medium

Nice to have

German Fluent
Application and Web Servers Administration
PL/SQL know-how represents a plus
Bash Scripting
web shall and WebSphere know-how and troubleshooting

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with Linux and/or AIX (AIX preferable)
Virtualization experience (VMWare, LPAR)
German Medium
English Advanced

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience in networking support required
