POSITION SUMMARY

This positions provides relocation and logistical support for the employee and their dependents under a TR (Technical Representative) accreditation (NATO SOFA)

Information Systems Operations Specialist (ISOS) - Service Desk/System Administrator provides Tier I and II customer support to all network users as well as some layer 2/3 device management for Server/storage applications Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the network resources and has overall responsibility of the data and communication environment to include installation, maintenance, and usage of the US Armys DSN/VoIP, SIPR classified, NIPR unclassified networks

This position involves a high degree of snap decision making and detailed task management to ensure all work orders not resolved locally are elevated to the appropriate enterprise IT groups and tracked till resolution Efforts will also include receiving, reviewing and analyzing job requests submitted by users, determining process and production requirements, conferring with users concerning scheduling as needed, monitoring jobs in process to insure proper completion, and opening and closing Remedy/ISTM tickets, identifying and troubleshooting problems, documenting best practices, initiating corrective actions as required Strong administrative, management and systems skills are required Excellent customer service skills are mandatory

An Audio Video Systems Specialist/VTC/ISOS technician will provide IT support to USAREUR/USARAF elements and supported the organizations hardware, software, data, applications, tools, systems used by the Army Operate and maintain complex, government owned and installed, electronic audio and video systems equipment/VTC Bridge and associated user equipments and Tier 1/2 Service Desk support of US Forces in Europe Performs day to day expert duties as specified in the PWS, and executes all assigned tasks and responsibilities pertaining to the administration, operation and maintenance of all Audio, Video, and Video Teleconferencing (VTC), computer clients and other site specific systems/equipment and associated systems Provides technical assistance to users/customer as required or as needed to maintain established site and systems performance criteria Troubleshoots, repairs and tests site communication/information system/Network equipment and ancillary devices as required to assure the highest standards of quality performance are achieved and sustained at all times

Ensures immediate restoration of communications to normal when failures occur and advises designated officials of equipment failures Provides technical assistance to other site technicians and users, as required, in the troubleshooting, testing, and repair of site audio and video equipment/VTC/computer systems Monitors the quality of workmanship in repair, adjustment, and alignment being accomplished by all site technicians Performs complex installation of audio, video, VTC, computer related communication systems and circuits in highly secure military facilities in accordance with government engineering plans Performs complicated repairs of A/V, VTC, computer equipment and circuits which have failed to meet the US military installation specifications through systematic troubleshooting, complex equipment conditioning, re-engineering/ modifying, and re-testing Performs scheduling and coordination of all VTCs performed in the assigned facility Performs other duties as required

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES

Operates and maintains complex, government owned and installed, electronic communications/information systems equipment and devices in support of US Forces in Europe Performs day to day expert duties as specified in the PWS, and executes all assigned tasks and responsibilities pertaining to the administration, operation and maintenance of site specific systems/equipment, data networks, VTC, LAN and associated systems Provides technical assistance to users/customer as required or as needed to maintain established site and systems performance criteria Performs multiple duties and tasks relating to the administration, operation and maintenance of site- specific communication/information systems, to include Telephone/Voice switching, data networking, LAN, VTC and user equipment and devices Performs a variety of LAN systems administration functions, involving installed data network servers, user PCs, hardware and software upgrades, IAVA program procedures, changes to equipment configurations, printers, modems fax machines installation and integration, Network/User Profiles, Exchange Server Features, and the like Operates, administers, and maintains server/host to provide email, file storage, printing and other related services consistent with established regulatory guidance Operates, administers and maintains data networks involving both the US Forces NIPR and SIPR Nets, to include IP routing devices and services according to Army guidance Troubleshoots, repairs and tests site communication/information system/Network equipment and ancillary devices as required to assure the highest standards of quality performance are achieved and sustained at all times Provides technical assistance to site technicians and users, as required, in the troubleshooting, testing, and repair of site communication electronics equipment/systems Coordinates with the NSC on requirements for technical assistance and training that exceed local capability Monitors the quality of workmanship in repair, adjustment, and alignment being accomplished by all site communication technicians Performs other duties as required
