Autodesks Building Industry Strategy Team is hiring a Strategy Manager to lead the definition & execution of the business strategy for Autodesks authoring tools in the Construction Industry segment As a Strategy Manager, you will partner with product, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to understand, analyze, prioritize, and communicate the investments needed to deliver the most value to our Construction subscribers using our authoring tools, and then work with those teams to execute that strategy Doing this successfully requires customer & sales engagement, subject matter expertise, business acumen, relationship building, excellent communication skills, and passion

This individual contributor role reports to the Director of Building Design Strategy

Business Strategy & Marketing
Defines the vision and strategy for use of Autodesk Authoring Tools in the Construction Segment
Represents the Autodesk brand and strategy with customers in the Construction Industry segment
Monitors and responds to industry & technology trends that construction customers are experiencing, and synthesize a strategy to address them
Works with key customers and industry groups to identify unsolved problems in market that are both urgent and pervasive and that people are willing to pay to solve
Work with product teams to clearly communicate key solution workflows and product enhancements
Maintain current industry and competitive knowledge of the cloud, mobile, social and SaaS market space
Conducts internal and external research; on the market, competitors and customer personas
Creates the business case to drive alternative channels, partnerships, mergers & acquisitions
Identify and drive partnerships and acquisitions to support strategic roadmap

Business Execution
Monitors business performance for the portfolio; document and report on product billings, adoption, customer acquisition and retention, developing corrective action plans as appropriate, documenting and communicating as needed to Autodesk Executive Leadership
Continually evaluates, challenges and adjusts strategic go to market plans to meet evolving business and market requirements
Works with sales in partnering with key customers to drive successful use of the portfolio and achieve success with early adopters, and strategic and reference accounts

Sales Enablement
Partners with various internal stakeholders to define and develop appropriate sales tools and sales plays that are consumable across Autodesks various sales channels
Supports Marketing and Community teams to create other supporting sales, marketing and training content
Collaborative Relationships
Maintains close customer relationships to effectively represent the voice of the customer with respect to offer price, package, position and business models
Serves as main internal point of contact for and builds strong internal partnerships with Product Management/Product Line Group Leaders and Sales/Channel teams
Works with PR/AR and acts as critical point of contact for portfolio for key thought leaders in the industry, including industry specialists, research analysts, key editors in the press, and other third parties in conjunction with Product Management

Minimum Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry
Strong business fundamentals and a background in solving complex customer problems An MBA would be an advantage
At least 2 years of experience in Product Management, Business Development or related roles within global software or other high tech solutions company
Experience to include development of go to market plans, business models, channels and new product introduction, in a multi-channel sales model organization

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of cloud and SaaS technology and associated business landscape
Exceptional customer/market research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
Skilled diplomat with proven conflict-resolution skills, with solid experience working across large corporations in a matrixed environment
Proven ability to lead and influence within a geographically dispersed global organization to build consensus within and outside of the organization at the highest levels to garner support for business objectives
Well-rounded business professional with technical acumen and a passion for creating, mining, sharing and using sound, solid and accurate customer data; financial acumen and a track record of continual enhancements to metrics (via analysis, reporting, management within budget and ROI calculations)
Demonstrated effective communication skills and strong executive presentation skills
Able to travel, 35 PERCENT of the time and plus
