We Offer

For our Messaging/Middleware EMEA Team we are currently looking for a highly skilled person who will take the lead in Environment Management combined with Support Lead, driving major incidents and coordinating resources from different areas to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently

Your main responsibilities will be to

Running effectively on a day-to-day basis of all high priority incidents within Messaging/Middleware infrastructure globally in EMEA working hours

The primary aim is to restore normal service provision/operations as quickly as practicably possible minimizing disruption to the business

You will provide governance and oversight of all incidents through to time resolution, providing effective communication and escalation with vendors and key business partners

leading high quality Incidents and Problems Management practices across our Global Messaging/Middleware Technology, in an effort to ensure effective end-to-end delivery of our IT services

You Offer

8 years of Industry experience, 3 years of work experience in Banking environments

Excellent knowledge of IBM MQ with desired experience of WMB/IIB/ACE including the concepts & implications surrounding developing resilient and reliable EAI solutions (messaging paradigms)

Solid Linux (RHEL 6/7) knowledge (diagnosis, performance, scripting Bash/Perl/Python, rpm packaging)

Very good oral and written communication skills

First experiences with programming in one of the languages (Java, C /NET)

Technical background in MQ administration, Broker administration and TIBCO EMS

Proficient experience and knowledge of a UNIX Operating System and Shell scripting

Some experience understanding of tools like Splunk, Geneos is preferred

Basic understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols is required

Critical thinking, decision-making, excellent analytical and good inter-personal skills Good organizational and problem solving abilities

Ability to direct and supervise vendor resources

Ability to handle escalations

Provide local Support and governance

Good knowledge of production support processes and regulations in the banking industry

Understanding of setting up DR and High Availability with MQ,MB on VCS clusters

Passionate about maintaining quality solutions and providing customer service

Innovative thinker with a passion to solve challenging problems

Results oriented person with an ability to work well in a team or as an individual contributor

Troubleshooting skills with an ability to quickly diagnose complex production issues

Bachelors degree in Computer Science/4 year Engineering degree, or equivalent work experience

Nice to have

Commercial programming experience (Java, C /NET)

Knowledge of and experience with DevOps concepts, tools, and architectures in creating a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD) Pipeline (preferably TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, Git)

Commercial software integration experience databases (preferably Oracle messaging inventory, ordering tool), SOA, REST/SOAP etc

Some experience writing SQL against MS SQL Server and Oracle databases is preferred

Practical experience with automation, orchestration and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
