We are currently seeking an IMS Integration Engineer at our Dallas Headquarters

Essential Functions

Create to customer specifications, update to customer specifications, control, and support CPC for various customer projects

Support issues with the CPC releases and deliverables to bring to resolution and care for subsequent updates to the same

Interface with customers, architectural and engineering teams, and lab engineers

Debug complex CPC related items and resolve complicated product problems by applying both established procedures and creative alternatives in accordance with established processes

Maintain project status and report regular updates to assigned Project Managers

Provide support for NOKIA and Customer teams on new or deployed networks for all CPCs releases

Care for subsequent work resulting from any AR (Assistance Request) ticket for given CPC to be re-delivered to the Customer

Network Parameters (NP) Document All network parameters value in support of the physical (layer 1), network (layer 2), and transport (layer 3 and 4) criteria, IP addressing, subnet plan, etc Some critical parameters may also be added with default values

Deployment Parameters (DP) Document Cloud deployment parameters include Tenant, Zone, VIM and VM IP addressing These Parameters are documented in CPC to be used by integration team but they are not audited

System Parameters (SP) Document All configurable system parameter values and ranges, where applicable, in support of application layer provisioning for each IMS network element

Ports and Protocols (PnP) Document Protocols and associated TCP/UDP Ports for a given Network Element used to communicate with the other Network Elements in the IMS solution

Translations (TRN) Document Dialing/routing plan, feature codes, point codes (if applicable)

Attend Deep Dive Meeting for requirement/scope review

Attend Technical Peer Review

Iterate thru corrections cycle to guarantee quality

Interact with PM iterating thru CPC releases

Use of required tools (PAS, Docushare, CARES) (training provided)

Review status and issues with internal and external NOKIA engineers

Support product delivery via NOKIA CPC process

Complete CPC updates required due to ARs

Complete Change Request (CRs) and Assistance Request (ARs) otherwise known as

Trouble Tickets

Release CPC Packages

Patch releases

Growth work

Feature Activation

Migration work (ie move application from existing hardware platform to another)

Coordinate with Nokias designated liaison as needed

Provide the necessary management, administrative and technical personnel to achieve successful completion of the deliverables in accordance with requirements defined by this SOW

Ensure that all persons furnished by Candidate work harmoniously with all others when present on Nokias or Customers premises

Coordinate Travel plans as per customer requirement and submit claims as required by the Project Manager

Required Education/Experience and Competencies

BSCS, BSEE or related degree, or, minimum of 5 years experience in telecommunications systems network integration with below mentioned Key Skills

Solid foundational knowledge of routing and switching

Unix/Linux, with Shell Scripting

MySQL/SQL

Operational Knowledge (Capture/Analyze traces (ethereal)) of the following protocols/architectures is highly desired

Experience with Experium (DocuShare) and SharePoint

Experience with data migrations

Knowledge of IMS solutions provided by Alcatel-Lucent including

5450 ISC The Alcatel-Lucent IP Session Controller (ISC) SIP gateway

5420 CTSThe Alcatel-Lucent Converged Telephony Server (CTS)

5420 SCG-- The Alcatel-Lucent Service Continuity Gateway (SCG)

Knowledge of Alcatel-Lucent and other commercial OSS/BSS products

IP Routing and Switching (OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, HSRP, VLANs/Dot1Q/SVIs, IPv4,

IPv6, HTTP(s))

MMS/SMS (SMPP)

LDAP

SS7/SS7oIP (SIGTRAN/SUA/SCTP)/DTAP/MAP/ISUP

GSM - CS and PS domains

LTE/EPC Core

IMS Core (SIP, MSRP)

DIAMETER would be a plus

Network/Element Management Systems SNMP, MIBS, Traps/Alarms

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills required
