Title / Position
HVAC Engineer Data Centre
Role/ Job Description
Conceptualization, preparation of various options meeting the Uptime Institute s Tier standard
Techno commercial evaluation of various options and recommending / finalizing the option to be adopted for the project
Preparing Uptime calculations, down time per year calculations
Preparation of Design Basis Report & Room Book
Preparation of Heat load calculations using software like HAPs
CFD analysis using software
Preparation of Air flow diagram, Chilled water schematic diagram
Selection of equipment like CRAC units / AHUs etc
Preparation of HVAC equipment list including electrical load requirements
Preparation of Data sheets / Specifications & Material Requisition for the various HVAC equipment including BMS
Planning / guiding a team of revit modelors in developing BIM model meeting LOD 100 to 350 requirements during various phases of the projects
Reviewing the model / ensuring quality control on the model / guiding the modelors in extracting layouts from the 3D model like HVAC equipment layout /
ducting layouts

Preparation of site works tender

Preparation of cost estimation for the HVAC part of the project

Procurement assistance like providing technical clarifications, participating pre bid / post bid meeting / technical bid analysis / preparation or order specification

Reviewing of Vendor drawing and providing clarification to request for information from site during construction

Visiting sites for residual engineering / resolving site queries

Coordination with various stake holders like Client / various internal disciplines like projects / electrical / mechanical / architect / civil / vendors for effective engineering management
Ensuring HVAC engineering execution within the budget / on time / meeting the quality set for the project and to the satisfaction of all the stake holders
Providing Management Information for the HVAC engineering part of the project
Providing information for & Attending Project review meeting / Internal review meetings / Management review meetings
Training of engineers in data center on HVAC engineering
Preparation of HVAC engineering effort estimation
Skills
HVAC Engineering for RIBA stages 1 to 7 of Data centers including conceptualization of HVAC system to Uptime Institute s Tier standard, uptime calculations, down time per year calculations, preparation of submissions for Uptime institutes certification, Heat load calculation using HAPS / CFD analysis
Knowledge of Data Centre codes and standards
Knowledge of MTBF / MTBR
Knowledge of Indian statutory requirements and documentation requirements for various approval for Consent to establish / Consent to operate
Knowledge of BIM, LOD definitions, proficiency in review of BIM models is mandatory
Knowledge of LEED Certification / Green Building concepts is mandatory
Educational Qualification
BTECH Mechanical or HVAC
Years of Experience
6 to 10 Years out of which at least 5 years in HVAC Engineering of Data Centre, balance years in Industrial / FMCG projects is preferred,
