The purpose of the role is to lead the Human Resources Function for the South West Asia (SWA) region by being an effective business partner to Managing Director (MD), SWA The focus of the role being to create a robust talent pipeline to support 2X growth in the region, build Organization Effectiveness and Winning Culture across the region

You are to develop a long-term HR strategy for SWA, building on the IMEA & Global HR priorities as well as on SWAs long-term business strategy
Serve as an effective strategic HR advisor and business partner to the MD SWA and the Corporate Leadership team in all aspects of HR related matters, programs, people planning and decisions
Lead the Winning Culture agenda in SWA through initiatives and intervention aimed at building a strong employee engagement across Hotel colleagues, GMs and Corporate colleagues
Driving HR Effectiveness by providing insights and tools to the Area HR & Area GMs to support Profitable business, Diversity & Inclusion, Leadership readiness, Talent acquisition and retention
Work closely with the SWA Operational leadership team and provide governance and process to ensure that NHOPs are open on Time, on Brand and on Budget within the human resources framework
To support IHGs 2X Growth agenda, create a robust talent pipeline through 3 pronged strategy build, buy and borrow talent
Build a strong Employer Brand across talent source market across the region

What we need from you

In depth understanding of all aspects of Human Resources & Talent Management including employee relations, statutory aspects and local HR Practices and policies in the operating markets
A proven track record of crafting effective HR & Talent strategies and seamless implementation of the same across the region
Strong leadership abilities to influence cross functions and work as an enabler in a complex matrix structure
Excellent business and credible financial acumen that will enable an effective business partnering role with key stakeholders
Ability to work effectively with employees across diverse cultures and geographies
Ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of senior stakeholders and work with business leadership teams
Professional desire to continuously learn and understand best practices, latest thinking and build networks externally
Formal education Bachelors or Masters degree in Business/Human Resources/ related field of studies
12-15 years of experience in HR or related roles with adequate breadth and complexity
