Contributes to the delivery of quality employee service through prompt and courteous handling and resolution of employee queries and requests received, helping to address a wide variety of issues

Supports the management and processing of employee and manager requests received via the customer contact systems and other employee channels, completing required administration or issue resolution in order to fulfil the request or enquiry

Will be required to provide expert advice and guidance in their area of specialism and may also be required to provide expert advice to a particular LoB (Line of Business(es) or Region on their activity

Delivers end to end support, fulfilment and advice to complete required processes in their area in support of employees and managers at all levels of seniority or external candidates

What youll be doing

Responsible for processing, overseeing the end-to-end process flow, as documented, and enabling US and Canada Visa, Green Card and immigration actions to progress through the required steps

Work effectively with the various business units to understand the required US and Canada immigration requirements and submission timings

Partner effectively with BTs immigration lawyers, internal mobility teams and HR business teams to ensure BTs compliance to the various internal and government requirements / laws

Provide effectively, regular and clear reporting to leadership, HR and business units for immigration pipeline work and requests that are in process

Work closely with BTs recruitment teams so they understand requirements and required steps that could impact their ability to fill open roles

Effectively document their working process, update, when required, and review with manager on an agreed schedule For all processes

Process and complete all required actions for BTs paid leaver process Stage 2 for US and Canada

Prepare, circulate and post the US and Canada employee safety report Per agreed publishing schedule

Responsible for the Americas HR Information Retention Policy program and compliance

Participates and assists in planning and executing new HR programs or changes to existing programs, for the benefits rea

Provides back-up to the HR Transactions Benefits and HR Transactions Absence roles

Strong understanding of human resources Additional experience in US or Canada immigration, preferred
Previous experience and understanding of US and Canada employment law, a plus
Experience working in Fusion and ADP portals Understanding of system flows and approval work flows, a plus
Knowledge and experience working with legal counsel, US immigration lawyers and government agencies Specifically in industry language and terms

Able to work within a structured environment (DOA and controls)
Excellent documentation ability and skills Must be able to meet insurance and legal requirements for case documentation Audit
Excellent written and verbal communication to all levels of the organization Be able to communicate plans and results to team members and executives
Able to effectively portray and explain risk, controls and process to employees, managers and leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft programs
Education, certification or previous training in HR, leave administration or employment law beneficial, but not required

Degree not required for role

1 year minimum experience working in HR for a company with multi-state employees HR generalist or HR specialist US and / or Canada immigration, a plus
