Job Description The HR MI Learning Team Lead position is part of the HR MI Reporting team, in the central HR Data & Analytics department The HR MI reporting team consists of Reporting experts that deliver HR related MI/Reporting to the Businesses/Functions and Centres of Excellence The MI Learning team focusses on reporting of learning related metrics The position reports directly to the HR MI and Reporting Manager, who is based in India; while has a reporting dotted line to Manager Learning Projects & CI HR Organizational Development and Learning is the customer for this team The HR MI Learning Team Lead will be managed by the HR MI and Reporting Manager but will also receiving steer on functional direction and priorities from the Manager Learning Projects & Continuous Improvement This position is key in driving efficiency and effectiveness improvements in the global Learning processes and systems; focusing on data & management information processes across the broader Learning in Shell function This position has more than 6 direct reports, and few indirect reports based in Chennai ACCOUNTABILITIES The main responsibilities of the HR MI Learning Team Lead are Develop, create and deliver Management Information (MI) & Dashboards -Continue to improve standardized MI Dashboards, to make them more comprehensive, easy to access and fit-for-purpose -Interpret data in the context of business priorities and the learning agenda to obtain useful information in a clear and concise manner that draws conclusions and insights from the data that facilitates effective planning and decision making for the Learning in Shell Function -Translate challenges in learning to meaningful KPIs that can be tracked and actioned upon Consult & Build reporting and MI Capability and structure within the learning organisation -Become a subject-matter-expert in all key aspects of the Shell key learning systems (Shell Open University via Cognos reporting tool) that relate to reporting; Understanding the data fields, definitions, the process, input, output and data quality -Provide Management Information consultancy (and training where required) and partner with the Learning focals in Shell Community to establish MI business requirements, translate requirements into a feasible and cost efficient design, implement the design -Enable the business to self-serve their Management Information needs, both through peer coaching and group capability building activities and guidance materials -Further build the culture for data driven analysis and decision making on different levels -Champion the use of data and information as well as the need for data quality management in learning by demonstrating its potential and identify new opportunities to add valueRequired Candidate profileRequirementsPROJECT ENHANCEMENTS-Be able to consult on the impact of proposed process & system changes on reporting and MI-Represent Learning in cross HR data and MI initiatives and projects-Work towards standardize reporting across the businesses through understanding the various business need and the development of standard reports-Work closely with HRIT and the other analysts within the HR MI team to knowledge share and standardise MI processes and procedures-Manage and grow the team of MI analysts-Be able to initiate and manage projects and improvement initiativesDIMENSIONSThis position has a minimum of 6 direct direct reports and few indirect reports based out of ChennaiSPECIAL CHALLENGESBe able to stitch together an efficient and effective team displaying transparency, high standards of leadership behaviours and coaching stylework closely and effectively with a variety of stakeholders at different levels in the organisationBe able to work in an unstructured environment across different (often interlinking) projects and initiativesBe able to challenge and coach the business to drive continuous improvement in having meaningful data standards, processes and dashboardsSkILLS & REQUIREMENTSRequired Experience Qualification* Ability to scope work into project plans and deliver accordingly* Ability to work with a variety of people and build strong and collaborative partnerships on high and medium echelons* Ability to view Learning data through the eyes of the business ensuring MI / reports are fit for purpose, simple and value added to our stakeholders* Solid influencing and engagement skills in a complex and at times ambiguous environment* Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing* The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MI and reporting with advanced skills data analysis and interpretation* Proven experience with using relevant data and analysis to support arguments and provide insights* Independent and analytical thinker, able to challenge established thinking to stimulate creativity* Experience in data visualization* Able to work with numerous and concurrent deadlines to deliver solutions with high level of accuracy* Resilient and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines* Worked and led a team of minimum 5 reports in a high performance teamADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWhilst HR skill pool is indicated in the position information, applicants with MI/data analysis experience in other skill pools are encouraged to apply
