DESCRIPTION Amazon Pays vision is to be the most trusted, accessible, frictionless and ubiquitous payments system, preferred by millions of customers to pay in a wide range of use cases and contexts

We are looking for a seasoned leader who will drive strategic partnerships for Amazon Pay across the payments ecosystem, largely focused on banks This individual will be our ambassador with the external ecosystem, identify and execute programs with strategic partners (banks, networks) The individual will also be responsible for driving all external partnered marketing / promotional partnerships for Amazon Pay / Amazon
S/he will have a direct and visible impact on the long-term success of the business This highly visible role has direct exposure to senior leaders in and outside of Amazon, requires highly developed thought-leadership, relationship management and strategic negotiating skills in addition to deep payments expertise This is a people manager role based in Bangalore, and reports to the Director of Acceptance and Merchant, Amazon Pay

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Over 12 years of experience in product- and partner- management, business development in the payments / financial services domain, preferably in India Demonstrated ability to drive partnerships with Indian banks, financial services providers, and to engage and influence C-level executives
Alternately, a track record of having conceptualized, developed and launched new payments products end-to-end as a project / program lead in a large financial services organization
Ability to independently manage complex contract negotiations, working with senior executives inside and outside of Amazon
Simplifier but at the same time thinks big, takes smart risks, is innovative and can think out of the box Develops original ideas, approaches, and solutions to typical, unusual, or difficult situations or problems
Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment and changing market conditions
Takes initiative Doesnt wait to be asked Plans efficiently while avoiding analysis paralysis Consistent effort, intense commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond when needed
Bachelors degree is required An MBA is desirable

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Have an entrepreneurial spirit with strong background (12- 15 years) in product, payments and a track record of creating innovative internet solutions
Be comfortable with hands-on day-to-day problem solving, implementing quick and effective action plans to meet short term priorities Equally comfortable in generating a 3-year strategic vision and a weekly sales report
Have proven analytical skills and an ability to manage a program by the numbers Must be metrics-driven
Have excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented Proven ability to influence others
