Head - Shared Services - International Trading & Distribution

The successful candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant and will be supporting the Trade and Distribution business of the group which includes Trading of Polymers and chemicals and Distribution of CEHA goods and Tyres And the locations would be East & South Africa and offices would be HK, China, Mumbai and London

Job Location Andheri - Mumbai

Manage/Supervise

Administratively Oversee the Functional teams IT/HR/Internal Audit/Accounting & others that may be added later (eg Logistics)

- Responsible for the creation & oversight of the Group Business System that can facilitate managers plan, deploy and execute to achieve its promise of - Bringing Global Local

Job Mission

- Build and Manage a Global standard of business support functions and system that can enable the Group to execute effectively and achieve its goals on a timely basis

Key responsibilities

Accounts

- Managing a Team of Accountants in Mumbai to carry out Book Keeping of multiple business units overseas

- Book Keeping function of Hong Kong/London operations partially

- Book Keeping function partially for business units in East Africa (3 countries) for different business lines

- Book Keeping function fully for a business unit in South Africa

- Book Keeping Function for BPO setup in Mumbai

MIS

- Preparation of MIS for all the above Business Units as per Management requirements on a periodic manner

- Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements for all the units for Management submission

- Assist the Business units to provide required information to complete Statutory audits and all Revenue authorities related information from the back office end

- Responsible for preparation of Group Consolidation of Accounts on a monthly basis for all regions (Africa/Asia together)

- Responsible for preparation of Annual Group Consolidation of Accounts for Statutory Audit purposes

ERP & IT

- Team management of SAP Administration with ABAP Report writers

- Ensuring the Accuracy of the Data/Reports and Security aspects of SAP

- Enhancement of Automation of Information flow from SAP/BIBO to support the business requirements in Mumbai/HK/China/EA/SA

- Overseeing the IT Admin Functions in terms of Network Admin/Sys Admin/Security Controls to support the business requirements in Mumbai/HK/China/EA/SA

Company Secretarial Work and Compliance

- Maintenance of all Statutory Records for all Business units across EA/SA/HK/Mumbai for Board Meeting/Resolutions/Annual Returns/BPO unit

- Document Management Solution for the various business units

- Maintenance of Statutory Records for Group Holding Company

- Banking Compliance/Record-Keeping for Securities offered to Banks/Financial Institutions unit wise

Logistics

- Team Management of Logistics Personnel in Mumbai

- Coordination of Logistics with HK/China

- Overseeing Shipment Documentation for HK/London

Administrative Responsibility

- Credit Control Function

- Internal Audit

- Group HR

Qualifications

Qualified Chartered Accountant

Knowledge and Experience

- 15 years of post-qualification experience

- At least 2 years- experience in a functional leadership role

- Legal & Secretarial exposure

Key Competencies

- Planning and organizing (strong on processes)

- Problem-solving/ analytical ability

Other Requirements

- Good understanding of Process outsourcing

- Good understanding of Shared Services Cells

- Tech Savvy

- Willing to travel

- Detail-minded, well organized
