Origin Consultants Pvt Ltd an Executive Search Services Company has been retained by a Leading IT Services, Business Solutions and Outsourcing Organization to identify Head of Content Development and Instructional Design to be based at Mumbai

Job Description

As a Head of Content Development and Instructional Design your responsibilities include the following

Design and develop programs to meet the training requirement of the various units in the organization across levels
Design and development of Instructor led courses
Design and development of online courses, practice labs, assessments and performance based programs
Work with content development team to prioritize projects, identify resource needs and to serve as conduit for escalations to ensure programs are released on time
To establish direction for the team to ensure programs are best in class
Network with industry peers to stay abreast of industry standards and practices
Review training needs and prioritize development efforts
Provide input on proposed courses and certification approaches and ensure alignment to business plans and content
Identification of cost effective competent vendors and their empanelment
Planning and end to end roll out of the Assessment /Development Centre
Design and roll out of Individual Development plans
Identification and customization of internal Training programs to address competency gaps for ~ Senior and Leadership Management
Work with internal and external customers and industry professionals to obtain input and feedback that will help development and administration of effective programs

Indicative Activities

Creation of content and management of course catalog
Design and development of Instructor led training programs
Design, development and implementation of assessments and on line tests for business units
Identifying and prioritizing of new modules requirements, module modifications requirements from the training team RMs
Design, develop, & implement WBT, CBT as per unit requirements
Collating content for new modules through research or interaction with clients
Improving quality of existing modules based on review with training operations team and quality assessment feedback from training RMs
Ensure monitoring of the activities assigned to vendor staff
Handle escalations/concerns, if any
Development of the team through timely appraisal
Setting goals for the team and review to ensure quality and performance

Desired Candidate Profile

MBA (HR) with 6-8 years of post qualification experience in Learning & Development
Preferable Experience in IT/ITES industry
Desired Certifications as a trainer for Leadership programs
Should have interacted with business functions and business heads on a regular basis
Should have been involved in the execution and implementation of a HR initiative/projects (end to end)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office and instructional design tools
Experience in Talent Development
Should have conceptualized and handled end-to-end training programs for talent and leadership development for senior managers and leaders
Passionate about training
Strong Planning and implementation skills
Excellent relationship building and networking abilities
Ability to work with speed and urgency
High on result orientation
Ability to quickly and accurately identify and analyze information
Sound decision making based on systematic logical and rational judgments
Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure to complete assigned tasks on a timely and accurate basis
Ability to influence key stakeholders
Willingness to work staggered hours
