The D E Shaw group is a global investment and technology development firm with more than $51 billion in investment capital as of March 1, 2019, and offices in North America, Europe, and Asia Since our founding in 1988, our firm has earned an international reputation for successful investing based on innovation, careful risk management, and the quality and depth of our staff We have a significant presence in the worlds capital markets, investing in a wide range of companies and financial instruments in both developed and developing economies We are looking for an accomplished and insightful candidate to join our Hyderabad-based Talent Development team as a manager This role offers a challenging work environment and excellent opportunities to learn and grow within the Human Capital function The candidate will collaborate with Human Capital Business Partners and other key stakeholders to play an active role in the firms talent development Additionally, the candidate will gain exposure to various facets of the training processes, have opportunities to collaborate with high-caliber colleagues in a collegial environment, and lead projects independently WHAT YOULL DO DAY-TO-DAY - Gather inputs from various stakeholders to determine learning needs and interventions - Develop and generate strategies to address learning needs - Design and develop learning programs and initiatives - Design capability-building plans in partnership with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and external training vendors - Facilitate learning programs for improving manager effectiveness - Execute end-to-end program management - Coordinate vendor management, data analysis, and reporting efforts WHO WERE LOOKNG FOR The ideal candidate should have - An MBA in human resources with over seven years of work experience in talent development An educational background in psychology or sociology is beneficial, but not mandatory - Proficiency in designing instructor-led and online learning programs, including facilitator, participant guides, and learning job aids - A strategic mindset and approach towards creating learning experiences that improve learner engagement and retention levels - A passion for the talent development domain as well as robust networking and stakeholder management skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills, and an ability to learn quickly and execute with discipline and keen attention to detail - Knowledge of MS Excel - Candidates who thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment will excel in this role
