Group Head - Concept (Copy)

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1 Creative Output on briefs received by Team

- Effective allocation of briefs to team members

- Meet with Client Service team/ Client & understand briefs

- Provide team with a clear understanding on the brief & all deliverables

- Guide, mould a thought to ensure briefs requirements are met; Give direction, inputs, suggestions to the team

- Hold a brainstorming session with teams involved (CS/ Production/Design) to develop a concept

- Create the element list

- Utilise copy/concept skills & excellent language skills to deliver attractive, focused, compelling copy/concepts

- Choose a suitable medium of communication

- Keen eye on aesthetics use a good sense of aesthetics in the creation of a concept of quality

- Clarity of thought & communication in expressing a concept

- Stay abreast with current trends; digital communication, activation plans etc

- Knowledge of software and tools of the trade

2 Client Related Goals & Key Account Management

- Attend Client meetings; present & sell concepts to clients

- Identifying and networking to generate business from the existing accounts Proactively following up with existing clients to get briefs for events that would have happened in the previous years

- Write, present & explain concepts to clients; provide the client with various options

- Research on clients & brands so as to deliver an effective creative design; Staying updated on brand knowledge

- Having the sensibilities to understand the brand, brand guidelines (words, colours), the clients core message, target audience and other needs of the client

- Develop concepts keeping in mind clients budgets

- Project conversion for existing clients

- Project conversion for new clients

3 Project Management & Internal Coordination

- Taking full responsibility for delivery & output of team

- Teams adherence to internal/ client timelines; Ensuring quality deliverables within deadlines

- Effective communication of the final concept/copy to relevant internal departments-Design, CS, Production & vendors (for final execution)

- Coordination with the design team to ensure that the copy and design are in sync-

- Effective project delivery and quality standards, both internal (CS) & external (Client)

- Working in tandem with other departments (Design team/CS/Production) to gain understanding of the consumer experience, marketing strategy and operational capabilities

4 Team Management

- Allocating the right brief to the right resource based on teams strengths

- Attend key client meetings along with junior team members

- Prioritising & scheduling projects

- Training team to conceptualize large scale events, activations, AVs

- Supervising teams work to ensure that client briefs are adhered to & closed

- Check Concept Presentation before sent out to the CS team

- Guide team members & step in on any escalations

- Holding periodic team meetings to update/review on the team targets achieved & address pending issues

- Assigning KRAs & making sure team members understand the job description well

- Identifying, training & development needs of the team & ensuring same is met in co ordination with HR

- Providing orientation to new joinees & on the job training

- Identify individuals with potential to grow

- Evaluation of performance for team members growth

- Identifying manpower needs for the team & working in synergy with HR to hire the right talent
