General Mills is embarking on a multi-year Global Supply Chain Transformation To facilitate this, we are standing up a permanent Supply Chain COE referred to as the Global Supply Chain Process and Capabilities team This team will develop Strategy, Process and Capabilities to enable the transformation and operate global Centers of Excellence ongoing

The Global Supply Chain Capabilities Lead is responsible for developing and advancing supply chain capabilities that enable the implementation of a global operating model They will lead design, testing and implementation with global Supply Chain teams and leverage close partnership with IT and 3rd parties The role will also work across Supply Chain functional teams and current transformation efforts to coordinate capability development Focus areas include knowledge management sites, workflow tools, smart alerts, advanced analytics, automation and enabling tools for global COEs (Total Value, Visibility and Supply Risk) This position reports to the Manager, Global Supply Chain Capabilities and supports the Supply Chain region teams


Design and implementation of global Supply Chain capabilities
Coordination across global transformation efforts (N America, External Supply Chain, Planning)
Capability implementation support including training and documentation
Developing capabilities to support Global Supply Chain COEs (Visibility, Risk, Total Value)
Implementation of a Global Supply Chain Knowledge Management portal
Implementation of an advanced project intake and prioritization model
Exploration of advanced technologies for broad Supply Chain application (Smart Alerts, Blockchain, AI/Automation)
Capability roadmap development and prioritization with IT and Region SC teams
Support for development of a digitization roadmap




3 years of Supply Chain, Technology or related experience
Bachelors degree Preferred Supply Chain Management, Economics or Business (any concentrations eg Finance, Marketing, etc)
Fluency in English with the ability to work in a multi-lingual environment

Project management experience

Ability to set direction and effectively influence others to drive results without direct reporting relationships

Thrives in ambiguity and times of significant change

Proven track record of strong collaboration skills across distance and difference

Strong skills in analysis and creative problem solving

Technical aptitude, specifically the ability to translate business need into technical application

Leverage Expertise

Demonstrated strong expertise in core functional capabilities across the Supply Chain

Experience coaching others to leverage and adhere to standards in order to produce consistent, repeatable results
