GCB Relationship Manager Bahrain (2 positions) - 19019689



Acquiring, nurturing, growing and strengthening relationships within the affluent/ HNW target segment of affluent customers in order to meet business objectives

Cross Selling a range of Investment and Insurance products to these customers in order to meet their financial planning objectives and thus attaining the revenue objectives of the Wealth Management business

Focusing on increasing the Total Relationship Balance (TRB) and Assets Under Management (AUM) through ones own portfolio of customers as per the business objectives of Citi, Bahrain


1 Acquisition of new CitiGOLD/affluent customers by effectively employing the sales process Actively soliciting new customers
2 Be conversant with the understanding of global investment markets
3 Be fluent with the working and understanding of investment and Insurance products mutual funds, structured notes, bonds, term insurance, hybrid insurance etc
4 Complying with the policies on retailing of investment and insurance products, adhering to the set investment and insurance sales process of Needs analysis and product recommendation, ensuring that all relevant disclosures are made during a sale as mandated In short ensuring the appropriateness of the sale- matching products to customer needs

5 Championing the customer banking experience in the branch by partnering with personal bankers/ service officers on sales activities, program enhancements and service standards
6 Being responsible for the financial and service transactions for ones own portfolio of customers deposits, transfers, withdrawals, bill payments, subscriptions, redemptions, Switching etc
7 Providing product information and timely updates on banking and investment products and thus actively seeking to acquire, deepen, retain and satisfy profitable relationships
8 Monitoring and stemming attrition of customers and AUMs
9 Providing personalized service
10 Ensuring that the KYC and AML requirements of his customers is provided and updated as per the compliance and operational guidelines of the business Ensure timely resolution for all compliance related issues
11 Achieving the targets as set out for Acquisition, Front-end revenues generation through sale of Investment and Insurance products, Product wise Unit sales, Cross sell of other banking products like Credit cards etc
12 Organizing micro-marketing events to network, prospect and acquire new customers
13 Leveraging upon customer/prospect events and investment seminars conducted by Citi by ensuring healthy customer turnout/participation Enabling customers/ prospects to expand their awareness/knowledge of financial services and products through such events
14 Supporting the Branch/ Unit Manager in developing and implementing strategy to become a significant financial services provider in geography- as measured by market share
15 Providing customer/marketplace feedback to Sales/Distribution head to assist in decision making and enhancing offerings
16 Ensuring adherence to Confidentiality and Privacy policies, Code of Conduct, CBB regulations and local requirements and standard operating procedures
17 Contributing positively to the team cause by sharing of best practices Spreading energy and optimism amongst colleagues
18 Building an image of repute and respect for Citi in the community and in the minds of the customers Act as a brand ambassador for Citi in all external dealings and interactions




University/College Degree

Good command of the English language, additional languages preferred

Experience Required

2-5 years of investment sales or retail banking experience, with relevant experience in Relationship sales management, preferably in financial services or financial planning Arabic speaking ability will be a plus in this role

Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience
