About this role

- Gartner is looking for a well-rounded Senior IT Program Manager who can provide project and program leadership for technology projects involving Gartners Research business The candidate will be responsible for program management of all initiatives needed to runs Gartner customer facing web sites, mobile applications, vendor integrations and back office applications These include Gartners main customer portal, Marketing sites, Mobile applications, Vendor applications and back office integrations

- Lead and Manage multiple Master Data Management, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse projects in a demanding environment

- Ensure the successful completion of deliverables for all phases of the development lifecycle

What youll do

- Organizes and leads the project team throughout the entire project life cycle

- Facilitate discussions with business owners in the development of a business case and support business in presenting the case to IT and corporate executive management

- Analyze and rationalize requirements to determine agreed, achievable project objectives that align to organizational goals, strategies and objectives

- Recommend scope boundaries to best meet business objectives within given time and resource constraints

- Drive estimates for all components of the projects

- Review, rationalize and integrate multiple work streams of projects into a structured, cohesive project plan

- Coordinate with other project teams and plans as required

- Successfully create, follow, update and maintain project schedules while tracking milestones and dependencies across teams within a project

- Work with Product & Business Owner to define Release Plan, groom and prioritize backlog

- Collaborate with various teams to define Sprint Plan and Goals

- Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies such as Daily Stand up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, Sprint Retro

- Track and remove impediments for the team

- Lead and Coach team in Agile Adoption

- Influence changes that increases the overall velocity at a sustainable pace

- Evaluate project staff following project completion identifying strengths and areas for development via appraisal process, with full evaluation responsibility for any direct staff managed

- Effectively communicate and maintain relationships with project team participants and projects business stakeholders

- Identify issues/problems that have impact beyond project; resolve issues working with teams across projects

- Leverage expertise to develop and present options and recommendations for implementation strategies/action plans across multiple projects

- Successfully champion program management improvement initiatives in the department

- Facilitate the development of RFPs or SOW based on business requirements; and manage vendor through the implementation and delivery

What youll need

- 5 to 10 years of working experience as IT PM

- 2 - 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse/MDM environment

- 5 - 10 years of experience in a role that required project management skills

- 2 - 3 years of experience in executing projects in Agile Scrum Methodology

- 2 to 5 years of Developer / Tech Lead experience is preferred

- Proficiency in areas such as metadata management, master data management, data governance, data solutions management, data quality, cleansing strategies and Web Services

- Proven record of managing project teams that include both IT staff members and business leaders

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility and influence, and make recommendations to staff at all levels

- PMP Certification and or Agile Scrum preferred
