Classic Vacations, the luxury travel division of Expedia Group, is seeking a motivated professional to fill our Flights Coordinator role for our inbound call center This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional, who would like to build their career in a fun, fast paced, and rewarding environment!

What youll do

This position will be for a Tuesday to Saturday shift
Provide superior phone service to reservations and customer service
Process flight department calls, queues and reports Manually create reservations in SABRE GDS system
Process name changes and corrections on air itineraries
Process special airline requests, eg wheelchair assistance or special meals
Process seat assignment requests
Process frequent flier, Trusted Traveler, Known Traveler, Global Entry, and Redress numbers
Process change requests for existing air itineraries
Process airline schedule changes and update Plex bookings
Process ticketing and exchange requests, including issuing MCOs
Process visa requests

Research system pricing discrepancies
Log all calls that comes through to the flights department queue
Cultivate relationships with air vendors
Investigate and surface issues and discrepancies
Research debit memos
Assist in elevated car issues, pricing, and elevating to vendor
Provide QA for customer records to ensure lack of preventable problems during travel
Maintain an organized work area that allows for superior service and follow up
Attend and participate in offered technical skills training
Attend departmental meetings
Identifies service problems and conducts root cause analysis
Work with Training staff and supervisors to assist with training for new hires Provide SABRE GDS training if needed
Provide Classic Vacations reservations system (Plex) training if needed

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with agents, peers, management, corporate, network, coworkers, and vendors
Assist internal customers with elevated, complex and often challenging problems
Make sure customers are completely satisfied with resolution
Perform necessary follow ups to support other departmental staff
Solve any issue with minimal cost and creativity
Process airline group requests Obtain group air contracts from the airlines
Process group air pricing request from the groups department
Assemble group air contracts for internal customers
Process group air ticketing manually through SABRE
Process group air changes, name alterations, schedule changes, and seat assignments

Produce detailed pricing shops, both between multiple vendors, and vs Classics competitors, to ensure price competitivity
Create, produce, and explain reports analyzing our business, to drive the decision-making process
Troubleshoot ticket printer
Assist ARC desk with research on ticket discrepancies
Process internal business travel requests
Maintain and update system configuration files for air and car products

Who you are
Requirements

Communication skills - professional manner on the telephone, and with all other forms of communication, provide written acknowledgement of travel inquires when needed and composing letters of explanation

Must have SABRE experience
Must demonstrate ability to effectively navigate Classic Vacations reservation system (Plex), Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, & Word, Windows and work processing
Must know or demonstrate the ability to learn the concepts regarding travel procedures involved in creating a flexible individual travel itinerary and changes, adjustments and cancellations of the same
Must be self-motivated and flexible with work schedule including weekends, and holidays
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor when communicating internal and external customers
Must be able to effectively multi-task
Must be able to interact with people and as part of a team
Must be self-motivated and flexible
Must be detail orientated
Must be able to both follow established policies and procedures, and suggest improvements for those policies and procedures
