Job Description Strykers MedSurg & NeuroTechnology (MSNT) Group is committed to designing products focused on performance and safety throughout the continuum of patient care Comprised of six Divisions, the Group has experienced tremendous growth and greater than 2x the market rate in many product groupings Growth continues to be achieved through equal contribution from acquisitions as well as organically and is poised for further success This growth has created a need for an Associate Finance Manager to join the team to contribute to driving the business to new heights in this continually expanding organization The Associate Finance Manager position will be a key support member of the Group providing direct financial reporting, template construction and support with consolidation of periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) reporting, direct business support for the Group Headquarters organizations and contributes in various planning activities In this role, the individual will provide direct support to the Director of Financial Reporting for the MSNT Group along with liaising with Divisional level VPs/controllers/analysts & Corporate Finance Group members on a regular basis Responsibilities are time sensitive and execution of this function occurs in a fast paced environment requiring ability to organize activities, sound financial and accounting principles knowledge, acute attention to detail, MS Office (Excel) skills and proficiency working with financial reporting systems

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

Prepares and analyzes operating performance and profit projections for reporting Weekly Orders/Sales/Op Income Reporting, Projections, as well as ad-hoc reporting for Group President, Group CFO, and Corporate Finance team
Serve as financial point person supporting Group Headquarters organization (HQ)
Assists in the monthly P&L reporting and projection process for the Group Assists in analyzing and summarizing results at the Group level for Group leadership and Corporate
Will support development and ongoing maintenance of Monthly Management Financial Packet containing critical reports providing one stop data package for Group leaders to understand drivers, metrics and overall financial performance of the Divisions and Group
Monitor performance against bonus objectives, bonus accrual management and administer final bonus percentage achievement schedules
Effecting reporting changes for organizational changes in growing business environment
Review and provide analysis and commentary on European and Canadian organizational allocation performance
Ad-hoc reporting as required

Financial Systems & Reporting Tools

Through use of best practices be responsible for maintaining efficient reporting templates inclusive of impact of acquisitions, performing modifications necessary to meet Corporate requirements as well as incorporating Divisional and Group leaders considerations
Formulate subject matter expertise in the use of financial reporting systems and databases
Perform financial system reporting administration for the Group
Generate standard financial reports from reporting system along with working with Corporate Hyperion team in design, developing, resolving system issues and validating customized reports

Planning & Forecasting

Participates in monthly forecasting process, annual Strategic Plan and Budget processes for the MSNT Group including pro-forma template generation, modeling, consolidating, department expense build-up, MSNT Group presentation and analysis
Provide management summary level insights into divisional submissions along with proposed change recommendations

Other Miscellaneous

Assist in creation of executive presentation materials for variety of periodic meetings including Board of Directors
Participation in shifting of processes to new company standardized platforms
Provide financial support and analysis on ad-hoc projects and reporting requests
Formulates and communicates timelines with Divisional finance teams for variety of deliverables


Bachelors degree (BA or BS) in Accounting / Finance and relevant work experience in related field required
CMA or CPA preferred
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office tools, particularly Excel Sound accounting knowledge, understanding of GAAP and SOX principles

Qualifications & Experience

5 years of Finance/Accounting experience
Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software and SAP are a plus
Must be analytical and possess a high degree of attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously and meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
Capable of working independently and utilizing sound judgement in executing responsibilities
Ability to work with all levels of management and navigate deliverable criticality with divisional finance personnel
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Collaborative, flexible and ability to maintain focus with a willingness to work within a fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Through use of business acumen possess ability to convey key points based on data analysis
Excellent organization skills
