Job Description:

BSS Budapest has been established for more than 10 years In that time it has grown to have an employee base of more than 1000 FTEs (around one third of all Finance people in Diageo) providing back office transactional services relating to the Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and Record to Report processes (including financial controlling for Supply) with all associated data activities

BSS Budapest handles DIAGEO-wide transactions across various world regions in a multicultural, multi-language environment and currently growing up as a more strategic, value-added provider of expert service, a true centre of excellence

In addition, BSS Budapest is increasingly playing a central role in overall governance and compliance for Diageo and has been charged by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to be Diageos control exemplar accountable for the execution of operations and governance of shared services including SOX/CARM compliance in respect of all Diageo finance shared services, irrespective of whether delivered from Budapest/elsewhere or by Diageo/outsourced providers

ISC (formerly Global Supply) took their finance organisation under review and decided to transfer, establish further RTR roles in BSS with increased responsibility for financial accounting and reporting with the long-term aim to take full accountability

Dimensions of the role The Financial Accounting Analyst reports to the Santa Vittoria Finance Manager (DBS Budapest), closely supports Santa Vittoria plant which is part of International Supply Centre (ISC) Liaises with other internal & external stakeholders

The role covers Santa Vittoria which is a complex business unit incorporated into International Supply Centre

Leadership Responsibilities

The Financial Accounting Analyst is a role within ISC Finance team Based in Santa Vittoria (Italy) and requires supportive and challenging business partnering Success is entirely dependent on managing and maintaining the excellent relationship with key stakeholders

Purpose of Role

Critical to success is to have a good understanding of core financial processes and the work required to ensure tasks are completed accurate and timely An understanding of how SAP, BS, CF, P&L in specific on Fixed Assets area management statutory and managerial

Top Accountabilities Responsible for daily operational accounting and financial activities specifically on Fixed Assets area statutory and Managerial Solves arising issues, liaises with stakeholders and with other financial and Santa Vittoria business colleagues to solve specific issues
Participate to the month-end close, reporting
Working closely with local and global financial teams (Santa Vittoria Team, Engineering Team, Maintenance Team, BPM, FP&R, Compliance, Cash Cycle, Treasury, Tax, etc)
Key contributor to maintain statutory compliance in Santa Vittoria environment
Driving issue resolution, pro-actively seek out better ways of doing things and drive implementation of simpler, faster, better processes and ways of working
Proactively suggests improvements/additional control points to build in and takes an active part in process improvement projects, in implementation and in the follow up

Qualifications and Experience Required University or College degree in Economics or Finance and Accounting
Capable of working in a deadline driven environment
Has customer focus to be able to build excellent relationships with relevant internal and external customers
Hard working personality, flexibility
Good business English, able to communicate effectively
Italian language excellent knowledge is essential
Knowledge of Italian financial, accounting and statutory local rules
Expertise in excel and macro is considered as a strong advantage
Experience in working with SAP or integrated software system is an advantage
International (part) qualification (IAS/UK/ Italian GAAP) is an advantage
