The Senior Finance Analyst will be a member of the Global Services Functional Finance Team, an integral part of BCGs internal Worldwide Finance organization, providing meaningful, insightful, and accurate financial support to help guide and influence the decision making process for the Global IT function

In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day finance operations, analysis, reporting, and planning for our growing IT Function (Infrastructure, cloud, business applications, security, devices, etc)

The responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to, support in the following key areas

Business level reporting & analysis

Provide analytical support across a wide range of areas including planning, reporting and financial operations across BCGs internal IT Services portfolio
Play lead role in building, owning and maintaining the excel-based 3yr IT cost model
Directly track the detailed resource management decisions that lead to savings
Decision making and process improvement support to direct stakeholders from business
Becoming a subject matter expert through ownership and support of the reporting and analysis of financials (including becoming familiar with the accounting nuances associated with each function)
Support the IT finance leads with preparation of trend reports and other ad-hoc reporting in support of senior management decision making
Prepare and assist with the preparation of key materials presented to senior management and other key stakeholders as part of the quarterly plan cycles
Leveraging technical and functional expertise to support data requests, analysis and maintenance for models and systems used in support of functional areas
Gaining a detailed understanding of BCGs finance systems (Oracle GL, SAP Business Objects, HFM, AP) and leading ad-hoc projects related to streamlining reports and data clean-up
Developing and maintaining data visualizations to supplement current reporting provided to senior management and other key stakeholders
Share best practices within the team and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results

Project support/process improvement Develop and own the process for savings tracking across strategic IT initiatives
Partner closely across large scale IT projects to provide detailed analyses
Assist in developing robust, comprehensive and interactive reporting (using Tableau, Alteryx, etc)
Assist in providing data and developing requirements for reporting and process improvements
Use fresh perspective to develop new and/or streamline processes

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

The ideal candidate will possess both the technical qualifications for the role as well as other intangible attributes

Technical Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; CA, CPA, ICWA or MBA preferred, with experience and strong interest in accounting concepts and reporting & analysis
7-8 years relevant work experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical mindset with willingness to provide a wide range of financial services from routine tasks to intricate financial management data
Proven ability to create and maintain complex excel financial models
MS Excel, Word proficiency and adaptable to several software applications
Other systems experience preferred Tableau, Alteryx, Hyperion, Business Objects and other comparable applications
IT-finance related systems experience (ServiceNow, Apptio, CloudHealth, etc) considered a plus
Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple priorities and deliverables

The position is a member of the Global Services Finance shared services team and falls under the direction of the Global Services Finance Director The position is built around teamwork and meeting customers needs The team works jointly on projects discussing output and issues, sharing hypotheses, and iterating the analysis
