The Field Demand Planner - AMEA Exports is a highly visible Customer Service & Logistics role whose primary responsibility is the strategic collaborative creation and shaping of future demand plans for the assigned category/ies This is done by proactively working with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations in order to understand category and consumer trends, market volatility, and product off-take and consequently provide an accurate forecast across the horizon

The role also serves as the conduit between the category/business and the supply teams to ensure that all supply related issues and concerns are addressed accordingly

Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (AMEA) Exports sourced globally from 27 countries to serve 56 Distributors with 85 Ship-to points Revenue recognition, risk and liability of shipment is based on agreed Incoterms with customers, and all shipments are direct from plant to customers via US SAP platform

Knowledge in various demand forecasting systems & platforms (SAP, Bertha, FOF) is an advantage

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to)

Develops a robust and sound category demand plan across 24-36 months horizon Uses fact-based historical data and statistical analysis to provide a best estimate base forecast throughout the horizon

Understands, contributes, and challenges building block assumptions which contribute to the overall forecast quality of the category/ies

Acts as the gatekeeper of forecast accuracy and drives the continuous improvement of the results on behalf of the category/ies

Drive weekly demand call outs with sales and corrective replenishment plan together with supply planning

Champions the Demand Review Process within the Category/ies

Facilitates and drives implementation & compliance of the demand review process management within the category/ies in accordance with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) standards

Influences critical business decisions through a rigorous analysis and review of historical facts and trends, consequently providing a holistic view of risks & opportunities for the category/ies

Acts as the face of supply chain / Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) to the category teams and the business and vice versa Ensures continual and sustainable Case Fill Rate (CFR) achievement through effective liaison to relevant supply chain functions

Provides visibility and alignment of all relevant Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) KPIs to the categories and initiating action from the category to improve them as necessary

Initiates service level agreements with supplying units, with the objective of assuring sufficiency, flexibility and timeliness in product delivery

Serves as the main link between category team/s and all other departments of Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) and relevant Integrated Supply Chain functions

Drives FG freshness and Champions FG waste management

Provides visibility to category on status and movement of all commercial waste and flush-out programs, as well as identifying potential expiry risks and initiating proactive means to avoid them turning to further waste

Drives freshness of finished goods across distribution centers by acting on liquidation, conversion, and disposition of ageing stocks in the system


Education, Knowledge, Experience

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing background &/or relevant field

Minimum 3 years Demand Planning experience in FMCG Industry preferred

Experience in Demand Planning & Forecasting, and close collaboration with Customer Service order processing team

Strong business acumen and demonstrates managerial courage to drive processes within the category/ies and the business

Strong presentation and computer skills including excellent Excel (vlookup, formulas, etc)

Understands Supply Chain operations and distribution channels
