Join the Keysight team that develops state of the art mixed-signal integrated circuit solutions, enabling performance breakthroughs that differentiate our electronic test and measurement products Keysight fosters a collaborative engineering environment which emphasizes teamwork, enthusiasm, and excellence in creating high performance, mixed signal integrated circuits

You will join a team developing SERDES solutions to enable terabit connectivity to our state-of-the-art custom ASIC designs, in both CMOS and biCMOS ASIC technologies Your work will enable higher performance, lower power, and better system integration for these custom ASICs

The successful person in this job will

Have a strong background in multi-gigabit I/O circuits, including serializers and deserializers, Clock/Data Recovery, equalization techniques, NRZ and PAM-4 implementations
Understand the channel-driven requirements for these circuits, so they can optimize a design for low power and robust design using the required technology
Communicate well with the design team

Job Qualifications


Ph D in Electrical Engineering or closely related field, with thesis work on mixed-signal IC design preferred, or MS in Electrical Engineering with substantial experience in IC design


At least 3 years experience working on high speed SERDES circuits in advanced CMOS process nodes
Experience must include at least one cycle of transistory level design, physical design, and silicon verification
Experience with a 28 nm process node Prefer 14 nm or newer
Experience with 125 Gb/s serdes, experience, but prefer 28 GBaud, and PAM-4 experience is highly desireable
Strong understanding of signal integrity and EM issues, especially related to serdes channel modelling
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, and ability to document and present results

A strong candidate will also

Have familiarity with programming and scripting languages to enable automation in the design, simulation, and testing of ICs
Experience with mixed-mode simulation of analog and digital blocks, including behavioral modeling of analog circuits, using tools like verilog or verilogA for simulation
Experience with PLLs, clock-data recovery circuits, and data converters
Experience with custom high-speed digital data paths
Experience with device modelling, thermal design, and IC package design
Experience with synthesized digital design flows, using RTL descriptions to synthesize verified netlists for physical implementation
