Role SummaryDevelop, implement, & continuously improve visualization applications for Renewable Energy Product Lifecycle Management processes (legacy and next generation PLM systems) Leverage contemporary and emerging disruptive digital technologies Deliver advanced visualization solutions that enable execution of the Design Anywhere, Build Anywhere, and Service Everywhere product management strategy
Essential ResponsibilitiesSupport global 3D Visualization programs (eg Model Based Assembly, Augmented/Virtual Reality) and related cross-functional initiatives within GE Renewable Energy as a Software Developer Collaborate with global user base to identify enhancements and provide tool support on daily baseEnsure quality of documentation and source codeMerge code branches from multiple developer and plan releasesTranslate business needs into enhancements for Model Based Assembly Viewer Virtual Product Configurator Aid Digital Program Manager with the development of advanced visualization concepts and support optimal utilization of 3D data throughout the Product lifecycle (Design, Build, Service)Support Digital Program Manager with all phases of visualization implementation program deliverables, schedule, resource management, and budgetPartner with relevant Digital Technology teams for knowledge sharing and execution of the design, build, QA, test, deployment, support and training of visualization solutionsSupport unique requirements for Services use cases (simplified 2D/3D product definition visualization, remote connectivity, data synchronization, and download)Expand knowledge and develop expertise that will support Principal Engineer with CAD related processesContribute to the overall Product Lifecycle Management strategy

Qualifications/RequirementsBachelors degree in computer science or computer engineering with strong affinity to software development Experience as Java developer in professional software projectsStrong knowledge of Windows Application development in Java 8 , C#,Strong knowledge of Software design patterns, UML, version-control systemsExperience with Eclipse, Spring, MSSQL, Database design, GIT, Visual -Studio, Installation systems (eg Inno setup, InstallShield),Self-Learner / Autodidact Familiar with Agile framework (SCRUM)Knowledge of technologies behind Virtual and Augmented Reality,Fluent in English,Willingness to travel 6-9 times a year abroad
Desired CharacteristicsSix Sigma Green Belt certified (GE Employees Only)Advanced Degree,Familiarity or experience Renewable Energy technologies,Familiarity or experience with PLM, PDM, CAD, JT, 3D Rendering, Configuration Management and related software (Enovia PLM, Teamcenter, Oracle ERP, Unigraphics, CATIA,Experience with PLMVis SDK,Experience with the Institute of Configuration Management (CM2) Methodologies,Extensive experience in PLM,Configuration and Change Management methodology with demonstrated successful implementation and usageStrong interpersonal, communication, & presentation skills,Open team player with ability to work at all levels of organization
