We are seeking an experienced professional for an Employee Relations Partner in Riverside, CA You will execute human resources initiatives in a highly matrixed organization and promote a positive working experience, including employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, talent development, policy compliance, employee relations, and labor relations In addition we are looking for you to work independently and to be a Solutions Provider

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited, to

Effectively support key HR processes and best practices to align HR initiatives with strategic objectives
Develop strong, positive, reciprocal working relationships with HR colleagues, leaders, and employees
Advise managers to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organizational effectiveness
Assist and coach managers regarding employee relations, investigations, compliance, performance management, corrective actions, and employee development
Partner with leaders to understand key business challenges and organization needs, and communicate and implement HR programs that support business goals and get results
Coach managers through challenging performance management situations and support managers in developing and communicating plans to address areas of improvement
Collaborate with clients to understand training and development needs and retention risks, and develop action plans / advise accordingly
Conducts investigations, communicates regularly regarding pending investigations, provides timely investigation reports, and outlines the applicable corrective actions
Counsel employees on performance, career planning and other topics
Objectively assess and bring to resolution employee relations issues
Use and demonstrate continuous improvement tools and methodology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes and tools
Analyze employee relations and labor relations trends and recommends and develops proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies
Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment regulations including EEO/AAP

Experience & Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience

Basic Qualifications

Demonstrated learning agility
Experience successfully implementing programs across teams
Excellent planning, organization, time management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, statues, which govern employment policies and practices
Masters Degree
Experience working with union processes
Experience managing projects and designing programs to meet customer needs
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator
Experience leading investigations
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
