Job Description:

Area Sales Manager - CSD & CPC

Implementation of Sales Plans

- Prepares sales plan as per depot wise strategy in consultation with RSM to gain market share in CSD /CPC business in the assigned territory

- Liaises effectively with CSD and other key accounts to get the Company and its SKUs listed for the purpose of enhancing overall sales

- Assists RSM in framing month-wise and week-wise plan to achieve respectively assigned targets and engages in new customer identification /new account opening through various opportunities to achieve P&L at the designated locations

Budget & Costing Support

- Ensures setting up infrastructure, systems, processed and norms to cater to CSD/CPC/Institutional customers in consultation with reporting senior

- Participates in the process of negotiating rate and contract related to CSD/CPC business operations and accordingly reports higher authorities

- Assists in preparing budget/targets as per opportunity and territory capability or history and ensures effective adherence to the same

Sales & Marketing Excellence

- Ensures implementation of marketing and promotional plans to win with consumers at URCs (Unit run canteens) through application of retailing principals and influencing URCs modernization plans and shoppers choice in URCs

- Consults with HOD/RSM in timely planning and execution with the institution customers indulging in win-win situation for both Company and customers

- Participates in planning and execution for Brand Building and launching new products aligned with Marketing team

Sales Administration

- Ensures regular monitoring of secondary as well as primary sales at designated locations and maintains updated records on overall sales

- Conducts effective analysis of history vs present sales and engages in regular meeting with Front line sales team

- Ensures effective monitoring of outstanding payments on weekly basis and also ensures receiving the previous payments

- Maintains regular updating ofF2&BFA details on monthly basis, and recertifies bills as and when received for concerned reasons

- Monitors URC report and Sales data from CSD depots on regular basis to ensure effective conduct of operations

- Assists in identifying scope for enhancing operational efficiency through system development and implementing new system/SOPs

Relationship Management

- Leads new business meetings and closing sales to Institutional parties in consultation with reporting senior

- Ensures effective liaising with the CSD and CPC Canteen level as well as depot level

- Visits Unit Run Canteens (URCs) regularly to ensure availability of effective space in URCs in A Class canteen

- Interfaces with Government Institutions at designated location for suggesting the most viable product range and cultivates relations for securing repeat Business

Team management

- Executes activities to ensure imparting effective training and development program management to the front sales staff and sales training to the Field Staff to improve selling skills

- Motivates the team through various activities like touring, incentives and regular updates on target vs achievements to keep all team members wellinformed and effectively engaged

- Ensures effective career and succession planning for all positions in the department
