Shared Services Process IT Lead , Emami Agrotech Limited

Location Kolkata, West Bengal


Reporting to CIO

Purpose of the Position

Being the co-owner of IT enabled business improvement, lead the entire IT Demand Portfolio of Finance, HR & Legal Processes across all units and locations of Emami Agrotech Ltd A Key member of the IT team who will play a pivotal role in identifying IT opportunities and integrating Business Leaders, stakeholders and technology to achieve the Emami Agrotech IT vision of - IT enabled business differentiation

Detailed Responsibilities (Major responsibilities of this position)


- IT Project ROI and business case

- Overall IT cost reduction

- IT led business transformation to a lean model


- Co-own and drive the - Go-Digital- movement

- Business Engagement with IT

- Co-owning the transformation of IT to a Strategic Partner role within the organisation


- Agile, Optimised and lean processes across responsible domains with IT enablement

- Co-own the IT Strategy and improve IT Service Management Process


- Identify, socialise and execute IT enablement opportunities across Finance, HR and Legal functions across all units of Emami Agrotech Ltd

- To exploit the Cloud model and work on introducing disruptive start-up technologies

- Managing the IT Demand Management Process

Measurable deliverables

- Business value creation and ROI from IT initiatives and Projects

- Business Engagement levels with IT

- Medium term - Implementation and embedment of SAP ECC, Treasury, SAP Success factors, BI/BO or other Analytics platforms across all units

- Reduction of IT cycle times across all spheres including Projects and Maintenance

Educational Requirement ( Mandatory)

Graduate, preferably a Chartered Accountant or MBA Finance, with Costing qualification

Additional Qualification

- SAP certification in FICO module

- Good command over SAP PS module

- Good understanding of SAP BPC or similar tools

- Good understanding of SAP HR and SAP Success factor

Work Experience Requirement

- Mastery of Processes and leading Practices in Finance, Accounting, Trading including futures, Costing & Budgeting, Business Planning and consolidation, MIS, Fixed Asset Management and Treasury & Risk Management (as applicable to Trading and FMCG operations)

- Excellent skills around IT Project Evaluation, ROI etc

- Excellent command over FICO module with a lead role in at least two end to end implementations Implementation of SAP Simple Finance would be an advantage

- Implementation experience of IFRS, COPA, Finance BPM, Employee Self Service, SAP BPC, Travel Management etc

- Evaluation and implementation new age products and enabling Digital Transformation

- Led Projects of process re-engineering and cost optimisation

- Exposure to Change management

- PMP certification, while not essential, can be an added advantage

- 2 to 3 year experience in Finance line function would be an advantage

- Domain knowledge over FMCG and Edible Oil Industry would be beneficial however not mandatory

- Have lead IT enabled Process Transformational and Improvement Projects in Finance domain

- Willingness to learn and take lead over a larger arena covering all Shared Services including HR and Legal Any existing exposure would be a differentiator

- Have lead multi locational IT projects

- Knowledge in SAP BW/BO and other Analysis tools, preferably with project experience

- Exposure to SAP HANA implementation would be an added attraction

- Participated in Enterprise level Digital Transformation Projects

Internal Interface

-As the owner of Business Engagement across Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain domains need to co-ordinate with all IT groups to ensure smooth and on time IT services

Finance/HR/Legal Heads and their team members across all locations and business line

- To partner with them right from identifying IT opportunities, to converting them to Projects/Enhancement and ensuring smooth and on-time delivery and maintenance in coordination with the entire IT team

External Interface

Vendors/Suppliers for Evaluation of solution, Project Management, Application Maintenance Management
