Job Summary

The Electronics Test Engineer will develop and maintain electronics test equipment used in a manufacturing environment Daily responsibilities include working with Manufacturing Engineers and production areas to ensure existing test equipment is working and meets the needs of daily production Additional responsibilities include working with product development engineers, to design and implement new test equipment for new electronic products

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Generate electronics test capability for new and existing electronic systems

Design, build and maintain reliable test boxes for various systems

Design, build and maintain reliable test fixtures for PCBAs

Design, build and maintain robust cable harnesses for various test equipment

Troubleshoot issues with existing test capabilities

Respond to manufacturing floor as required to ensure test capabilities meet demands of production

Generate documentation supporting test box designs

Generate user documentation for testing processes

Ensure user safety in all electronics testing processes

Provide support to PCBA vendors


Must be self-motivated with ability to prioritize

Must be able to use simple hand tools


Education/Skills Required

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required

Experience developing printed circuit boards is preferred

Minimum of 3 years manufacturing engineering environment is preferred

Experience with software development is a plus

Microprocessor control and PLC control programming is a plus
