April 2016 $12 million was raised as seed funding from Facebooks angel investors Anand Rajaraman and Venky Harinarayan, along with Japanese Venture Capital firm Rebright Partners Dec 2017 We then raised $72 million during Series A round of funding from Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), Japanese investors Techmatrix Corporation and DeNa networks Existing angel investors Anand Rajaraman, Venky Harinarayanan, and Japanese VC Rebright partners also participated in this round April 2019 $2 million in Venture Debt from Innoven Capital

Roles & Responsibilities

- 5+ Years experience into acquiring new partners & driving business from financial institutions with sufficient focus on third party product fee income

- Ensure smooth on-boarding, and implementing mutually agreed business plans, Build and maintain appropriate processes and facilitate enhanced sales effectiveness

- Effective sales capabilities and strategic implementation of overall business strategies to suit the local channel dynamics for each of the channel partner culminating into annual numbers

- Responsible for achieving sales and Business quality ( persistency, business loss, etc) targets for assigned Channel Partners at a national level

- Enabling smooth information flow on agreed business parameters with channel partner Working on opportunities in conventional financial institutions which are currently selling life insurance products but also including peer to peer, payment and small finance banks

Skill & Qualifications

- MBA with at least regional level responsibilities for corporate agency business development in life or health insurance Companies

- Minimum 5 Years of experience required into Business Development

- Strong understanding of client handling, meeting and acquiring clients

- Must be from Life or Health Insurance industry

- Good communication and presentation skills
