Origin Consultants Pvt Ltd an Executive Search Services Company has been retained by One Of The Global Engineering Giant to identify Divisional Manager Manufacturing to be based at Vadodara

The incumbent will Head the Divisional Operations at Vadodara and be responsible to

Exercise general administrative direction and control over all functions at the Site, directly supervise all Business Unit / Functional / Departmental leaders and indirectly supervise all site employees
Provide leadership, strategic direction, and coordination for all manufacturing activities including production, shipping and receiving, scheduling, inventory control, design and process engineering
Accountable for the overall fiscal responsibility for the manufacturing unit
Establish, oversee and approve financial goals, operating and capital expenses including the annual budget process
Ensure consistent management of costs and the development / execution of improvements in manufacturing productivity and effectiveness
Create alliances with external vendors when appropriate to reduce cost, ensure continuity of supply, improve quality, reduce lead times, etc
Define and execute operational programs for manufacturing consistent with division goals and strategies and annual operating objectives
Direct production operations, identify develop and implement efforts that support the factory operations and its customers, assuring cost-effective processes that result in products of high-quality and on-time
Champion manufacturing and operational effectiveness & implement management operating systems in order to sustain operational excellence
Lead and monitor continuous improvement activities in manufacturing and ensure alignment to global Quality and Environmental systems and procedures
Site-wide implementation of management systems (Six Sigma, BMS, BES, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 etc)
Ensure that all processes and products are in compliance with internal and external specifications and meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations
Analyze, develop and implement process changes, quality controls and corrective actions as needed
Promote a workplace that has a strong emphasis on safety, health and environmental compliance; encourage total employee involvement in continuous improvement initiatives
Lead continuous improvement in equipment/process efficiency to meet business requirements (cost, safety, quality and service)
Exercise overall responsibility for the staffing, training and execution of activities for a Manufacturing Production department
Develop and maintain effective positive working relationships with internal and external customers
Implement appropriate HR / IR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce
Direct the functional / departmental managers activities, ensuring prioritization of key business goals
Set goals for direct reports, handle performance reviews, give regular coaching and feedback

Desired Candidate Profile

BE / B Tech / Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Manufacturing MBA desirable
12 18 years demonstrated manufacturing / production experience in high voltage transformers, converters, traction motors, gears, auxiliary power supplies and energy storage systems or other related electrical engineering products
At least 7 years experience in key management roles and a history of continued growth of scope and responsibility in roles
Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the organization
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to demonstrate and lead change in a growing organization
Demonstrated budget management and understanding of P and L
Good understanding of after market services
Results oriented and adaptable
Strong Business acumen and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent team building skills and demonstrated ability to lead / coach
Computer proficient
