Job Description:

Principal Accountabilities

- Responsible for UI/UX work on all things digital including websites, ecommerce platforms, social media marketing campaigns etc (Knowledge of Facebook apps is an added advantage)

- Reviewing project functional specifications, generating UI workflows and wireframes with associated UX and information architecture considerations

- Creation & execution of tight, forward thinking, responsive and scalable front end designs

- Creation & execution of fully responsive, accessible, meticulous HTML5/CSS3 templates using JavaScript/jQuery with cross browser or device specific

- Working within a Lean/Agile project delivery culture

- Overall responsibility for understanding a clients brief and converting that into appealing, highly usable interfaces

- Liaising with clients and other members of the team as and when needed

- Develops understanding of the end users of the website/application and is capable of generating user personas and user scenarios

- Presents high level designs/mock-ups to the client for review/iteration/approval

Educational Qualifications and Experience

- Formal education in interaction design (Bachelors/Masters/Diploma)

- A minimum of 2-4 years of formal industry/professional experience as a web designer (Mobile first)

- Conceptual understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process

- Comprehensive knowledge of HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript / JQuery

- Understanding of PHP, Wordpress and VueJS is an added advantage

- Solid portfolio demonstrating design savvy

- Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries

- Candidate must absolutely be in sync with recent design standards and trends

- Considerable agency experience

- Client-facing role as a digital / website / UI / UX designer and front-end developer

- Proven track record of designing across various devices and platforms including; websites, ecommerce, etc

- Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills Capable of juggling multiple projects and related complexities at the same time
