Job Description:

The Director, Document Review Services has complete oversight of service delivery, review operations, staffing and administrative duties associated with the Document Review facility in Hyderabad, India including the following


  • Fulfillment of operational requirements to meet client needs and oversight of Document Review Services personnel and service delivery

  • recruiting/hiring of qualified document reviewers to meet business demands; Management of facilities to provide an environment suitable for legal professionals


Successful candidates must have the team leadership and professional background in the legal process outsourcing industry to successfully manage multiple projects, work efforts of various resources and client relationships in a fast-paced environment

Primary Responsibilities


  • Leadership

    • Oversight of all document review projects and activities including training of personnel, development of review protocols, project design, reporting/metrics and quality control

    • Management and oversight of Project Managers including recruitment, training and onboarding initiatives

    • Provide leadership and client-facing support to the Sales team in representing the Indian Document Review business operations and facilities

    • Serve as the leader and primary point of contact for clients regarding all aspects of India-based operations





  • Substantive

    • Coordinate creation of the review protocol, training materials and training sessions, QC and validation schedule and protocols

    • General counseling on strategic approach to review in order to meet a client s ultimate litigation goals

    • Provide advice and guidance with respect to discovery strategy, approach and process

    • Engage in client (firms and corporate) education programs to address challenges in electronic discovery review and work with them towards minimizing those challenges

    • Interface directly with the client/law firm professionals

    • Work with sourcing and finance professionals to meet outside vendor requirements and track actuals/budget to contribute to the overall management of the litigation budget

    • Daily reporting on all open projects





  • Administrative Responsibilities

    • Effectively fulfill staffing needs for review projects

    • Build a strong, diverse bench of trusted and dependable attorneys

    • Ensure consistent and efficient administration of day to day office operations

    • Provide oversight of time entry and collection process ensuring timeliness and accuracy of data

    • Provide accurate verification and approval of monthly invoices

    • Promptly execute project start up activities

    • Monitor project work schedules and office utilization to ensure maximization of space and operations

    • Oversee any administrative personnel necessary to support projects




Qualifications


  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and valid/active state bar association admission in any US jurisdiction

  • Two-four years of litigation practice at nationally recognized law firm or corporation, including oversight/management of large scale document review projects or equivalent legal process outsourcing leadership experience

  • Considerable experience in litigation discovery, with a focus on electronic discovery

  • Extensive experience with various technology platforms involved in document review, as well as with review accelerators and technology assisted review software and process

  • Previously international experience desired, but not required

  • Experience in vendor relationship management and managing 3rd party service providers

  • Superior client focus skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning and organizing skills

  • Successful experience as a manager of people

  • Ability to multi-task, wear many hats and perform in a fast paced environment
