Job Description

As Director Information Security your responsibilities include the following

Lead strategic security risk assessment and mitigation planning to achieve business goals including prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies
Directs the risk assessment and then the planning and implementation of enterprise IT system, business operation, and facility defenses against security breaches and vulnerability issues
Auditing existing systems and directing the administration of security policies, activities, and standards to ensure that company information is secure
Develop and communicate security strategies and plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders
Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, procedures, tests/audits, and enhancements
Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry standards and best practices
Define and communicate corporate plans, procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating security systems, equipment, software, and other technologies
Develop and manage a program to establish and maintain awareness of security risks, controls, and responsibilities across the business
Work closely with IT functions to secure information, computer, network, and processing systems
Manage the administration and use of security tools including the monitoring of security logs and alerts to detect potential breaches
Manage all investigations involving the security of corporate information and the interface with law enforcement when required
Ensure that facilities, premises, and equipment adhere to applicable laws and regulations in addition to corporate policies
Recommend and implement changes in security policies and practices in accordance with changes in laws and regulations
Resolve security problems in a creative, independent, diplomatic, and cost-effective manner
Remain informed on trends and issues in the security industry, including current and emerging technologies and prices Advise, counsel, and educate executive and management teams on their relative importance and financial impact

Desired Candidate Profile

BE / BTech / ME / MTech with 12 to 18 years of experience in information technology out of which at least 5 years experience in information security
CISSP, CISM, and other relevant certifications are desired
Proven leadership ability
Proven experience in planning, organizing, and developing IT security and facility security system technologies
Experience in planning and executing security policies and standards development
Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including information security, building security, and defense solutions
Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations
Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems
Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
Excellent understanding of and demonstrated experience in project management
Demonstrated ability to apply technology to solve security problems
In-depth knowledge of applicable domestic laws and regulations as they relate to security and exposure to the differences internationally
Strong communicator, creative, intelligent, self-disciplined and highly industrious
Enjoys working in a growth oriented, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment
High integrity with a strong all-round set of technical skills, and a commitment and sense of urgency about making things happen
