Director, Digital Product Management, Card Customer Experience

We are looking for a Product Leader who is exceptionally imaginative, collaborative, and truly passionate about building transformative digital experiences and willing to go above and beyond to help our customers succeed The ideal candidate is resourceful, analytical, self-motivating and has great attention to detail

As a Product Leader in Card Customer Experience, youll be driving the product vision/roadmap and working with internal teams to create digital-first experiences that lay the foundation for the way customers interact with Capital One and help them achieve their goals To get there, youll manage and grow a team of world-class Product Managers, partner with and influence senior leaders across the organization, and team up with Business Analysts, Designers, Engineers, and Marketers on driving new product ideas from concept to launch and having direct impact to the business objectives

In this role you will

- Lead a highly dynamic and multi-disciplinary team envisioning, building, running, and optimizing digital and non-digital experiences for Card customers at Capital One You will translate business strategies into products that surpass customers expectations, drive engagement, and transform the economics of our business

- Set the Product Vision and then develop a short term and long-term roadmap for the teams to be able to execute; define, build towards, and launch MVPs

- Collaborate with internal partners You will be exceptional at developing and nurturing relationships with key internal stakeholders in support of Capital Ones business goals

- Identify unmet industry needs and disruption opportunities, guiding interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative products to market

- Establish or participate in Design Thinking, Agile, and LEAN rituals which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps

- Define learning agenda and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success/failure

- Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making

- Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams

- Lead a team of Product Managers, mentoring and guiding them through product discovery/delivery and team dynamics

Successful candidates will have the following

- Entrepreneurial, start-up, or corporate innovation experience

- Passion for identifying and solving real consumer and business problems

- Proven creative vision and ability to connect with consumers

- Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data and logic to make compelling business cases

- High level of intellectual curiosity and are comfortable with ambiguity

- A great communicator (and can prove it) both written and in person

- A fantastic storyteller who is at ease presenting to senior executives

- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and be resourceful in achieving success in the face of ambiguity while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities with minimal direction

- Ability to put team before self and are energetically collaborative

- Passion for getting his or her hands dirty by using products as an early adopter, testing prototypes, and digging into user research

- Technical literacy with respect to API integration and Data Architecture

- Fluency in human-centered product discovery methods such as design thinking and service design

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree or military experience

- At least 7 years of consumer product management experience

- At least 5 years of experience managing people

- At least 3 years of Agile Product Management experience

- At least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional product teams

- At least 2 years of experience working on Web and Mobile Platforms / Apps
