PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP Cloud Platform - Platform Experience | Discovery Center Development team (Bangalore) is hiring for the role of a UI/Front End Developer

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Be part of the engineering team located in Bangalore and work in a highly motivated Scrum team
You work as a UI developer in an agile development team according to the scrum methodology
Your responsibility will be to cover all stages and tasks within the entire software development cycle
You work on developing best designed UI screens for application using SAPUI5 We have experienced colleagues in your team to support you in acquiring the knowledge you need to build up
You contribute with innovative ideas and concepts to build and deliver the best product
You take over responsibility for design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and customer support
You cooperate closely with colleagues in other development teams and functions across the globe

Development Oriented
Strong experience with SAPUI5 & SAP Fiori Apps (highly desirable but not a mandatory requirement), jQuery, JavaScript, HTML DOM, HTML5, CSS3, NodeJS
Excellent programming skills and good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Experience with open standards and service-oriented architectures
Knowledge and experience of UI and UX best practices for web applications
Knowledge and understanding of micro-services architecture, and APIs (REST, ODATA) services is essential
Knowledge of development best practices, architectural concepts and relevant design patterns
Be technically proactive, influencing the team with innovative and creative ideas
Have the flexibility to adapt to technologies and change directions quickly
Write clean, tested efficient code that fits well with high standards and quality requirements
Perform and participate in peer code reviews
Good understanding of Automation tools such as OPA5, QUnits etc
Work on POCs to take appropriate design decisions
Good understanding of agile software development methodologies
Ability to transfer business requirement into a realizable technical requirement
Very good knowledge on SAP Product Standards and make sure that the architectural design adheres to it
Knowledge in development and build technologies like SAP Web IDE, Eclipse IDE, Git, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins is desirable but not a mandatory requirement
Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform (Cloud Foundry) Development is a plus

General Skills
Team work Experience in working with multifunctional team of UX Designers, Solution Management/Subject Matter Experts/Product Owners and Development
Communication - Excellent English communication skills is mandatory
Soft Skills self-motivated, creative & innovative, pragmatic, demonstrates maturity & emotional intelligence, especially since the role requires extensive collaboration between multiple stakeholders working in a global setup

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/ BCA/ MCA

WORK EXPERIENCE

Between 4-6 years of experience in front end development
