Description

- Client technologist that will assist in research, development, design, architecture, deployment & support of all client facing technologies
- Responsible for global provisioning of client-side endpoint imaging technologies for all supported software and hardware platforms
- Accountable for all software, hardware and business application support compatibility on current and future technologies
- Maintains support matrix for all compatibility issues and engages business, third level technical teams and vendors as appropriate to solution incompatibilities of software, hardware and supported business applications
- As needed, provides expert level, tiered technical support to other IT support staff, employing a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness Uses various techniques for resolving problems; has incidents escalated to him/her & will also escalate trouble tickets as necessary to higher-level senior technical staff and vendors
- Has frequent interactions with customers, vendors & other analytical & business staff & therefore, must be effective in interpersonal communications and problem solving
- Attends project/product meetings & maintains a current level of knowledge & training in related disciplines
- Uses a high degree of patience and problem management techniques to solve complex technical problems
- Follows through on resolution with users Consults solution base documentation and peers to optimize problem resolution
- Adheres to established standards in resolving issues Tracks all work and enters solution data into knowledge base
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots enterprise desktop computing platform Keeps up with current & future client technologies, infrastructure operations & industry best practices & certifications
- Responsible for the execution of project level initiatives and resourcing for next generation endpoint technologies Works with program management office and senior management to align with priority objectives

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

- Software, Hardware and application testing, validation, imaging & provisioning for all desktop, laptop, & tablet devices
- Focused on client technology process improvements & documentation for service delivery & support
- Maintain working relationships with all IT & business resources, acts as the liaison between support staff & senior technical resources
- Constantly working on knowledge transfers, training & documentation for IT Support staff
- Mid level Active Directory competence including design/execution of GPO, user/computer/exchange account permissions
- MDT, WDS administration for imaging, management & client patching as needed
- Experience with the administration of IBM Big Fix for deployments, removals, updates and patching
- Accountable to perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex infrastructure and endpoint related technical issues for end-users and to recommend, implement and document corrective solutions to ensure quick and accurate service delivery
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user devices and related hardware and software to meet delivered requirements for desktop service levels
- Collaborate with internal and external technicians to ensure efficient operation of the companys endpoint and server environment
- Administer and resolve issues with internally & externally-developed applications
- Accountable for escalations of incidents related to supported technologies and infrastructure related issues
- Actively participate in enterprise initiatives and projects as a project manager or as a team resource
- Integrate & coordinate future client activities of all global IT Support groups of all affiliate locations, business units on & offsite
- Accelerate the maturation, deployment, and adaptation of advanced client technology systems throughout the enterprise
- Follows and adheres to standard operating procedures related to incident, problem and change management aligning to ITIL framework, documented in our ITSM solution
- Serve as an information hub to route internal and external requests to the appropriate resource and follow the escalation structure when applicable
- Maintain an efficient and structured incident escalation process which minimizes resolution times and properly transfers issues to the most capable technology resource
- Maintain and improve inventory management system for hardware, software and product licenses as needed
- Maintain and improve current deployment of Microsoft solutions as a solution for imaging, software deployment, patch management, desktop deployment and information intelligence
