Desk Based Sales Account Manager

Why this role matters

The role holder is a proactive Account Manager or Specialist, who acts as the desk based point of contact for the customer/partner developing long term customer relationships He/she is responsible for delivering against personal revenue targets as well as engaging with others/ specialists to deliver customer requirements as necessary

What youll be doing

Responsible for generation of new sales and revenue growth of the account base
Responsible for networking and growing small desk-led accounts to become our key accounts in future
Primary focus is generating and closing new business, whilst ensuring existing revenues are defended
Responsible for customer satisfaction to their nominated clients use in-depth knowledge to develop further opportunities eg higher value/more complex products win further high value/ more complex products
Has responsibility for outbound sales calling and opportunity creation

Communication Ability to positively influence customer behaviour whilst building long term relationships is key
Learning -Willingness to learn and build knowledge on all BT portfolio areas
Professional approach to team and client relationships
Track record in delivering against sales targets (Desirable not essential)
An awareness of UK Government market / Public Sector and frameworks/ procurement routes would be beneficial ( Desirable but not essential)
