The Team

Deloittes Consulting practice is one of the worlds leading management consulting firms for executable strategy, operations, technology, and human capital advisory services The consulting practice is built around integrated core capabilities- people, process and technology and industry expertise - the capabilities needed to help clients to tackle their most complex challenges

As part of the Strategy and Operations group, Deloitte has a dedicated Transportation and Logistics Practice focusing on providing consulting services to clients in India and South-Asia The team also collaborates with other Deloitte firms in South-East Asia, Africa and other geographies The team consists of a number of professionals having experience in infrastructure Sectors like Aviation, Railways, Ports & Shipping and Trade & Logistics

Work youll do

- A Manager/ Senior Manager at Deloitte will be a key member of our client service teams and is expected to contribute to the firms growth and development in a variety of ways, including

Project Delivery

- Leading large projects and programs to deliver strategic programs, driving operational efficiencies, operational excellence and transformation projects in areas such as performance improvement, cost-optimization, sales acceleration and implementing business change to drive both growth and profitability of our clients

- Help our clients to transform the effectiveness and efficiency of their business model and operations, across the whole range of operational transformation challenges including, digital transformation, process re-design, and embedding culture and tools to enable effective continuous improvement

The candidate shall achieve this by

- Understanding client requirements and project scope and deliverables with support from senior consultants/ consultants/ analysts in the team

- Follow applicable consulting frameworks across work modules of the project; project team management and coordination with internal and external stakeholders etc, leveraging past domain experience and Deloitte tools & methodologies

- Through deep sectoral expertise, providing technically sound and practical solutions to client queries, thereby lending credibility to project deliverables

- Reviewing frameworks, processes and deliverables to ensure alignment with risk, quality and delivery excellence guidelines

Business Development

- Mapping the market and independently/jointly identifying and leading pursuits across industry verticals and offerings

- Proactively leading identification and development of work opportunities, driving the development of new business in the market

- Supporting the firms key account strategy by driving focus on critical accounts for the practice as well as support national/global accounts

- Crafting and representing the point of view in external and internal (cross-functional, multi-disciplinary) forums, independently or in alignment with the larger firm perspective Leading solution definition by weaving together the clients perspective with expertise and creating/communicating a compelling value proposition for clients Ensuring adherence to commercial, independence and risk guidelines

- Ability to take responsibility for managing large accounts

Practice Development

- Support and lead learning and development initiatives for the team/project/organization

- Lead large or multiple teams through the design and implementation of people, process and technology changes including building collaborative relationships with team members, fostering a productive teamwork environment, leading teams to generate a vision, leverage diverse views, and help develop and grow team members throughout the course of every engagement

Thought Leadership

- Partnering with the larger team to author/curate/contribute in developing the research base of the practice

- Work with member firms globally to understand the Deloitte capability repertoire and look at how to position that in the Indian context more effectively

As Manager/ Senior Manager, along with other managerial responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to contribute in a variety of ways, including

- Working closely with the leadership team to lead the strategic initiatives, projects or programs for the practice and track progress

- Support the leadership to achieve their revenue targets

- Coordinate with national and global team to ensure successful delivery of projects

Skills required

- Engaging with business leaders and being a catalyst for transformation

- Subject Matter Expert experience with a good grasp of infrastructure and transportation sectors

- Skilled in facilitating and encouraging collaboration amongst team members, and is capable of motivating teams to maximise performance

- Confident and effective in recognising and managing potential issues during client assignments

- Experience management consultant with relevant experience in advising clients on large scale transformational programmes within large and complex organisations

- Ability to build and manage client relationships

- Experience of working on projects gained working within a professional services firm, global consultancy firm and/or large private and/or public sector organisations

- Experience managing small to medium teams within a complex environment

- Prior experience in leading medium to large engagements for clients independently

- Bachelors / Post Graduation Diploma / Masters Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Aviation or other relevant field

- This role may involve extensive travel
