- Quality is everything at Dell Its what we re known for and we build it into all our processes In Quality Engineering we play a central role by developing, implementing as well as maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems We look for ways to improve the inspection, verification and validation of our finished products Our team defines strategy - not to mention governance for the implementation of quality standards and methodology In addition to participating in the review of engineering designs, we assist customers or engineers in gathering and analysing data

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitates defining, understanding and implementing quality business processes and best practices in critical existing and new areas to ensure effective outcomes in terms of performance

- Leverage numerous process analytic tools such as NVA, Root Cause, Observation and others in order to identify problems and develop solutions and measure results in a business process environment

- Analyses data on relevant project information, customer surveys, or other data and draws inferences as well as identifies corrective, preventative and improvement action plans

- Lead the study, analysis and deployment of industry bench-marked org wide process engineering systems and tools

- Process Design including aspects of Design, Functional analysis, Modelling and Simulation, Solution Trade-Offs, Integration & Test, Verification, Validation and Transition to Operation

- Collaboratively lead stakeholders in workshops to define processes, identify friction points, gaps, and developing process solutions

Essential Requirements-

Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 8+ years with a Masters degree; or 5+ years with a PhD in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Process Engineering; or equivalent experience

- Practising/certified lean six sigma master black belt

- Strong knowledge of Process Improvement Techniques and Methodologies such as Lean, 6 Sigma, DMAIC, ITIL

- Proficient in MS Visio, Aris, Ceolins

- Excellent ability to communicate through simplifying complex concepts into concise PowerPoint for executive reviews or briefs

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently, but still be a team player

- Ability to drive lean six sigma culture within an organisation

- Experienced mentor for the broader process engineering community

Desirable Requirements -

- Experience is a Customer Service environment

- Six Sigma Certification/Training

- Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies ( Agile, Lean, Waterfall, etc)
