Summary

In this position you will be reporting to the Sr Planning Manager As the Delivery Assurance Supervisor, you will provide material planning, production planning, and inventory accuracy for OE and MRO manufacturing and assembly components in support of the landing gear manufacturing process

Primary Responsibilities

Lean Manufacturing -- responsible to ensure lean principles are applied to part flow and all other material management activities
Leadership - Provide leadership to Materials Management and Operations Planning employees and team members Ensure they are engaged, trained and contribute to the success of the site
Operations Reporting -- responsible for SOT, OTD, Productivity, Inventory, and all other applicable shop reporting activities

Management of all work order, purchase order and sales order documentation in support of on time delivery and inventory accuracy; ensures and maintains integrity of accompanying paperwork
Maintenance of all current and valid work orders including appropriate demand dates and updates from Production Change Notices in conjunction with Production Planning
Co-ordinate and monitor movement of material and parts in relation to overall product progress; identify behind schedule programs and reports deviations to Operations Management; report overall performance of their product family against schedule when necessary
Work closely with the shop planners and shop supervision to ensure machines are properly loaded and priorities are addressed
Act as liaison with external suppliers or sister divisions and/or internal support groups such as Production Planning, Supply Chain, Quality Control, Shipping/Receiving and others for timely movement of manufacturing processes and materials
Issue pick slips, shipping memos and other documents as needed to support schedule or AOG requirements
Review shortages, spares/transfer reques ts to match physical count to perpetual; review, correct and reconcile discrepancies
Manage inventory transactions including material issue, transfers between branch plants, R&O and Product Support, shipments on sales orders, receipts from work order closures and additional usage as reported on manual paperwork
Manage on-time delivery to satisfy internal/external customer requirements
Communicate lead times, run quantities and safety stock levels to the Program Planner
Compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports and collect status and location of materials
Implement and support all ACE initiatives pertaining to your responsibilities
Other capacity management, expediting and analysis duties as assigned

Requirements
Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree, preferably in a logistics, business, or supply chain management discipline
10-15 years experience in Material Planning, including a minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment and 5 years at a management level
5 -- 10 years of strong Lean Manufacturing experience
SAP Business Systems is an asset
Working knowledge of inventory control analysis and production control techniques and management thereof
Experience in the development and management of Kanbans, supermarkets, bus schedules and vendor managed inventory
Thorough understanding of supply chain concepts and their financial impact (inventory turns, cash flow, and working capital)
Strong ability to work both in a management oversight capacity and in detailed hands-on system capacity Experience with managing and developing dotted-line relationship
