Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Data Architect to build, optimize and maintain conceptual and logical database models
Analyze existing data models to prescribe and implement solutions to unlock additional business value
Design and build solutions to support business architecture and inform application architecture
Hands on experience in designing systems using Data Factory, Data Lake, SSIS, Data Services
Good understanding of implementing & integrating application into cloud based systems in Azure/AWS/ Oracle
Ensure business rules, data definitions, and functional aspects are captured accurately and appropriately within Data models
Hands on analysis where required to support solution analysts as appropriate
Ensure internal data modelling and other data architecture standards are met
Work on optimizing performance of existing databases and queries
Maintains database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; completing maintenance; answering user questions
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills A big part of this job is communicating effectively with other development, cross functional teams in a global environment

Functional Competencies

Well developed (business / data / functional) analysis skills, including ability to quickly understand business requirements
Strong Logical, physical Data Modelling / Database design skills
SQL/Oracle RDBMS and NoSQL databases
Must have good excel skills (use of VLOOKUP, macros, pivot tables)
Good knowledge of Data warehouse and BI concepts
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and stakeholder management and influencing skills
Ability to deal with both highly technical and non-technical people
