Origin Consultants Pvt Ltd an Executive Search Services Company has been retained by a Leading Gulf Based Diversified Financial Investment Institution to identify an Data Analyst (Private Equity) to be based at Abu Dhabi

Job Description

As Data Analyst (Private Equity) your responsibilities include the following

Data entry and securing data quality to support the internal information management process for the Private Equities Department (PED), with the objective of facilitating investment, monitoring and planning activities
Enter and update internal investment data for the department
Ensure internal data gathering and data updating process from all investment sub-teams
Conduct data acquisition and data updating process, when required and in coordination with investment sub-teams, with external parties (GPs / Funds / Portfolio Companies / External data providers)
Ensure and monitor data completeness, quality, accuracy and availability for all investment data
Conduct all ad-hoc internal data requests from investment sub-teams
Facilitate investment decisions by supporting the development of new reports or improvement of current reports
Become an expert on the data maintained and understand the data flow process
Develop a good working knowledge of reports and ensure the completeness and accuracy of reports produced
Work closely with investment sub-teams to improve current workflows and support implementing next phases
Maintain strong relationships with user departments and data suppliers
Maintain an awareness of the financial markets and industry developments
Assist PED Information Manager and carry out other information related tasks as required
Participate fully in PED and the organization surveys
Support department in attracting and recruiting world-class talent
Screen initial applications
Help foster and maintain a one team culture
Work collaboratively, sharing knowledge, participating in discussions and providing support to colleagues
Keep an open mind to new information and insights in order to improve decisions and processes
Be committed to excellence in your work, adhering to and/or developing best in class processes and systems to support the business
Actively manage own professional development in areas that support the execution of the departments strategy
Take a practical, at cause, approach to responsibilities, focusing on getting the job done
Carry out other duties as required

Desired Candidate Profile

2 to 4 years of relevant experience Private Equity or Investment Banking Accounting
Information management experience in data entry, client interface and database integrity management
Understanding of the Private Equity market
Understanding of Private Equity investment processes
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Efront or equivalent investment management systems preferred
Should have a valid passport
