Basic Purpose of Job

This is the Senior Associate (SA) - Fund Administrator role within Global Services Bangalore, focusing on administration of certain functions on assigned accounts, interaction with various units locally and overseas The Senior Associate should possess the ability to learn new skills, embrace change and communicate effectively Accuracy, timeliness and delivery of client service are imperative in this position with intense focus towards Quality controls, documentation and process improvements

Responsibilities & Tasks Include Carry out core and complex processing activities in accordance with established procedures of the Corporate Action team
Collaborate across team members and display team player skills to ensure that the team deliverables are met with the highest standards
Answer and handle complex issues and queries and escalate as needed; acting with a sense of urgency to meet required deliverables
Work closely with inter-departmental contacts in processing all necessary tasks to ensure risk mitigation
Coach and offer help to less experienced staff
Identify risk issues, breaches and act in accordance with the risk escalation chain and operating procedures
Be accountable for assigned tasks and deadline for self and for the team
Quality control - Be able to audit the accounting / verification data input and establish control over the overall process accuracy within the KPIs agreed
Documentation Be able to review and correct the process documentation such as process flows, Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and coach the team
Understand the client requirements and guide the team towards efficiently managing its deliverables

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Bachelor degree or above
3 - 5 year experience in financial services and/or a back-office operations environment
Possesses proven technical skills
Relevant experience in Corporate action (both Voluntary and Mandatory corporate action); should possess strong product and market knowledge

Skills/ Knowledge Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and possess strong problem solving and resolution skills
Advanced working knowledge of accounting fundamentals with respect to the workability of various financial instruments
Expert knowledge of Internal Systems, MS office (excel, word) and good working knowledge of MS PowerPoint Knowledge of database management systems MS access / Visual basic/ Macros would be an added advantage
Data & Analysis - Posesses strong attention to detail Demonstrate good analytical skills in resolving the team issues and facilitates decision making
Good understanding of financial services and investment products
Strong attention to detail and a focus on service
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet internal and industry deadlines
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to manage time and work well in a fast paced, high volume atmosphere; prioritize effectively
