The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for defining and executing highly efficient and effective operational processes of the LOB Sales function, driving productivity and profitability by adopting and implementing standardized shared services processes, services, methodologies and tools (eg Franchise for Success, Digital Boardroom, etc) Additionally, is responsible for a direct revenue number (annual cloud bookings target) In addition to operational execution, COO leverages historical data and market insights to build a distinct list of strategic go-to-market motions and works closely with Sales (RVPs/VPs/AEs/Inside Sales) and LOB Sales Program Leaders (Demand Generation and Growth Markets Leaders) to execute on supporting high-impact programs Also serves as liaison to other VAT leaders supporting / relevant to the SuccessFactors LOB (eg, Qualtrics EX, HRVA, Pre-Sales, CEE and global SFSF teams)

Provides overall leadership and direction to multi -functional organizations executing within effective and agreed upon governance models and contributing to continuous innovation and effective service delivery models

PERFORMANCE GOALS

Drive top line and bottom-line growth across the business
Serve as MD proxy
Direct responsibility for revenue (Cloud ACV bookings) and Variable Pay metrics (eg Renewals)
Develop and maintain the strategic plan which will enable our business to achieve its goals
Drive GTM Strategy and execution leveraging data and data-driven insights
Drive synergies w/LOBs, Qualtrics, VAT, Field Services, SME/Partners and Solutions/GMT
Adopt automation for efficiency
Eliminate functional duplication
Adapt to evolving business models

Adopt and syndicate best practices/standards

ENABLE THE LOB TO EXCEED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE TARGETS

Develop deep intimacy of the HCM and Qualtrics EX business to define GTM strategy
Provide access to high quality data to Program leads (Marketing, Demand Gen, Net New, Strategic Deal) to support high-impact initiatives
Align shared services resources to drive best in class customer engagement, profitably
Working cross-functionally, develop supporting KPIs/dashboard to manage performance of the business holistically both from a traditional sales perspective (Pipeline Health) but leading indicator perspective (customer sentiment, strategic selling KPIs such as business case development, etc)
Serve as proxy for MD ie manage, drive, negotiate, close sales opportunities in accordance with the customer engagement methodology; participation in FLT calls, 2nd in command activities as required
Exceed Annual ACV bookings targets across all customer segments
Exceed Annual Operating Income (Profit) Target
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of regional sales opportunities; enable the conversion of pipeline to profitable revenue
In partnership with Marketing, oversee cost effective pipeline generation for all lines of business (Lead to Opportunity Conversion)
Drive the measurement and execution of targeted industry and solutions business plans to grow pipeline and achieve revenue goals
Drive alignment between global and regional LOB business plans close alignment with global SuccessFactors priorities is critical

DRIVE THE VALUE CENTRIC SOLUTIONS SALES APPROACH BY

Working closely with shared services teams, launch cost effective tools and scalable resources to help drive deal road mapping, business planning, solutions value blueprint and benchmarking/value content and assets for all customers
Drive the enablement and integration of new solutions and methodologies quickly through the organization
Enable the Sales force to leverage the right resources and assets at the right time to drive profitable revenue
Ensure effective consultation on key areas which impact the MU such as M&A strategy which affects region, localization issues and the development of MU game plans

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

15 years leadership and enterprise software sales with 5 years leading diverse operations functional organizations
P&L experience
Successful track record of building, leading and retaining diverse, multi-functional high performing teams
Knowledge of HCM market / SuccessFactors (highly preferred)
Record of building strong customer relationships
Executive Sponsorship on targeted sales opportunities
Business strategy planning and Knowledge management
Bachelors Degree Required ; Masters Degree or MBA Preferred
