Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Contract Manager to support transactions across Ciscos Services business The Contract Manager will be responsible for fostering successful delivery, execution and enforcement of complex deals including multiyear XaaS and Managed Services contracts and turnkey projects in close collaboration with Legal, Finance, Operations, Delivery and Sales organizations The Contract Manager will also be responsible for developing and delivering best practices on contracts and providing feedback into the contract formation and negotiation process

Responsibilities include

Apply policies and processes to render effective contract management actions for Cisco, our Customers and major subcontractors, including active management of contract changes
Provide expert contract advice in the creation of quality, fit for purpose prime and related major subcontracts that reflect the business deals and facilitate successful outcomes
Ensure awareness of Cisco and customer contractual obligations by the program team members responsible for performance
Determine appropriate actions and solutions for the contract risks and business issues related to our complex Service offerings
Develop and implement contract and commercial management and administration best practices to ensure Ciscos compliance with its contractual and delivery obligations
Lead cross-functional teams focused on continuous process improvement and deliver training to build contract and commercial management competencies
Support contract strategy team metrics and reporting
Assist with the evaluation and implementation of contract management tools, systems and technology

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in related area
6 years of relevant experience or advanced degree (eg JD, MBA, etc) and at least 5 years of experience, preferably in a high volume, technology environment
Ability to work successfully with various levels (mid to senior management) across geographies and diverse cultures
Strong process design and process implementation background, as this is intended to be managed as an integrated capability and not a resource driven overlay function
Experience in contract and commercial management including conducting negotiations with customers and/or subcontractors
Ability to review, interpret, and summarize in plain English technology agreements, change requests, statements of work, etc
Financial awareness, such as revenue recognition, booking, CapEx v OpEx, SLA, penalty & risk-reward mechanisms, etc
Ability to deliver applicable contract and commercial management training to Sales, Delivery, Operations and Project Managers
Proficient in networking, telecommunications, and similar technology concepts
A good team player who thrives when operating cross-functionally
Global perspective of business environment and technology

Desired Skills

Experience in complex outsourcing, systems integration, and/or managed services agreements is preferred
Comfortable and confident in communicating with and presenting to all levels of management
Eagerness to explore opportunities to digitize processes and services
Process driven, yet agile and business focused
Superior communication, negotiation, people and organizational skills
Strategic thinking
Sales orientated, able to identify opportunities for Customer to adopt or expand the use of Cisco products or services
