Consulting Technical Manager - Modernization Lead and System Adminstrator (US-NSG) - 190004WR No Visa Sponsorship is available for this position

Work with an Oracle Consulting Team to provide project management, systems administration, and network administration for the IT modernization of an Oracle SCIF

Responsible for

The overall IT operations of the Oracle SCIF to include working with Oracle Senior Leadership, Oracle CSSO and ISSO and technical project teams

Lead the on-going effort to modernize the IT infrastructure of the SCIF and coordinate efforts across the SCIF team

Making IT recommendations to the Senior Leadership team and shepherding the recommendations through the procurement process

Provide system implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support on Primarily Linux, Windows and Solaris systems

Manage days to day operations, monitoring and problem resolution of IT systems, as well as install, configure, and maintain required applications such as McAfee, system event logging & auditing, configuration management tools, system heathy monitoring tools, and IAVA compliance patching

With the CSSO and ISSO on SSPs and STE/STN requirements

Create and maintain documentation related to the overall IT environments and associated procedures Document the as-is infrastructure of the SCIF and continue to develop the documentation into the next generation

Experience

At least 10 years hands on experience supporting Linux, CentOS, & VMWare with respective certifications Additional experience with NetApp storage and Windows Server OS desired

Familiarization or working knowledge of Oracles database, Weblogic, and OEM products a plus

Scripting experience

Strong knowledge of networks / network environments

Qualifications

Minimum General Experience Combination of ten (10) years systems, network, or storage administration experience on any one specific vendors or a combination of vendors technology May include knowledge of or specialization with any of the following Solaris/Trusted Solaris/Linux/ or other Unix or Windows operating system; Storage technology including Disc/Tape/SAN/NAS/DAS

Functional Responsibility Provides advanced system administration and support of workstations, file servers, printers, storage or network infrastructure Troubleshoots difficult technical problems; creates, maintains and modifies processes/policies/procedures, resolves day to day issues for the user community In addition, provides advanced skills and process transfer to the customer and establishes process and procedures for improving customer IT or MIS operations Can work without supervision and may periodically serve as a Technical Lead

Minimum Education A BS degree in computer science or a related discipline or equivalent experience and relevant vendor training on specific technologies and equivalent years of experience

8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience Prior team leadership or management experience preferred Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus Ability to communicate effectively Ability to build rapport with team members and clients Strong influencing and negotiation skills Ability to travel as needed
